Hello, so I went through the whole process without a single hitch until it was time to reboot. I get the black screen with the melodic beeps. So I used Lenovo PC diagnostic tool(https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...stics&hl=en_US) and it gave me a 0285 error code(TCG-compliant functionality-related error (might be the TPM initialization failure)). Below I've added relevant information and the directory with my original bios and patched files:
PC: Thinkpad T495
Serial Number: PF-1DAYPE
Please let me know if any more information is needed, and any help would be greatly appreciated.Attached FilesPremium supporters get full download access and other benefits.

Hello, Thanks for your support! Could you please help someone ? Laptop is X1 Yoga Gen8, 21HR-S4Q0LSR, PF-48600
I made a lot of dump from original BIOS, same content always. chip is 25Q128JV, file size is 16777216. But the autopatcher said always corrupted bin file.
It's possible to patching this model of laptop?
Thank you very much!Attached FilesPremium supporters get full download access and other benefits.

1.- Your BIOS dump is corrupted or incomplete (only 1 part from 2)Hello, Thanks for your support! Could you please help someone ? Laptop is X1 Yoga Gen8, 21HR-S4Q0LSR, PF-48600

2.- X1 Yoga 5th gen has I5-10210U so yours must be newer
3.- Your Serial is wrong , no such serial on Lenovo support site as PF-48600
4.- Lenovo-autopatcher works only for BIOS on MB equipped with Intel processors up to 8th gen.
5.- Probably your password is in the SIO chipComment

thanks for your help. It was my mistake, SN: PF-4Q0LSR, type number: 21HR-S48600
I can't upload bios to my first mesage. But now it's ok. Could you please check my original bin file? Size is OK, I downloaded just the flash area (with TL866 II).

Your CPU is 13th gen ... so autopatcher won't work.

There must be another BIOS chip i think...I dont have schematic to check. The dump you posted is probably the second part of the whole BIOS is my guess...
Anyways the password is not in this chip(s) it's stored most likely in your SIO chip (can be Nuvoton, ITE, MEC, etc)Comment

Look what type of SIO chip is on your MB and try to clear password from it.
If you can read/write it then 99% the password can be cleaned.Comment

by macabookHello everyone,
I’m currently working on a dead MSI GP75 Leopard (MS-17E71) motherboard (i7 CPU, NVIDIA GPU) with a no display/no backlight issue initially. After extensive investigation, I’m at a critical stage involving EC firmware, BIOS/ME region interaction, and possible deep corruption. I'm seeking advanced insight from anyone with experience in EC/BIOS sync issues or PCH-level behavior. Here’s a full breakdown:
🧩 Initial Issue- Board powers on (fans spin, keyboard lights up and can be adjusted, caps lock led lights), but no display or backlight

by cr4zychrissHello everyone,
I am requesting urgent assistance to unbrick my laptop, a rebranded TongFang GK7MRFR chassis. The laptop is completely dead following a faulty in-OS EC flash attempt.
I have successfully used a CH341A programmer and can read/write/verify both flash chips, but using my backups/extractions has failed to restore power. The root cause is likely a corrupted Intel Management Engine (ME) region or an incompatible EC/BIOS pairing. System & Hardware Details- Barebone / Chassis: TongFang GK7MRFR

by TopPopSorry for the long story. I have a Dell Latitude 5530 (i7) laptop (South Peak 15 MLK MB DDR4 203102-1 FK8VG$JA) with an admin BIOS password that I want to remove. Service Tag: HYKFPT3. Other than that the laptop worked OK.
I found a CH341A Black and went looking for the BIOS chip on the motherboard. After trying to read one chip that was a firmware chip but not the BIOS I think I found the BIOS chip labeled Winbond 25Q256JVEN. Altogether I think I found 4 different firmware chips in the laptop. The BIOS chip is a WSON8 6x8. I used the CH341A, NeoProgrammer, and a cheap pogo pin clip... -
by piratiHello everyone,
I recently bought a non-working Asus Zenbook Pro Duo OLED UX8402ZA that was listed for parts only. The seller mentioned that it had no display output but that the charging lights worked.
When the laptop arrived (without a charger and SSD), I connected a charger and confirmed with a multimeter that it was charging the battery. However, when I tried to power it on, only the backlight of the secondary display came on. There was no image, and it didn’t boot into the BIOS.
I decided to try flashing a new BIOS, but since I didn’t want to desolder...-

Hello everyone,
I have a Lenovo IdeaPad Gaming 3 16IAH7. When the device first arrived, there was no display at all.
I had the BIOS cleaned, but the issue was not resolved and there was still no image.
Later, I flashed a different BIOS dump from the same model. With this BIOS, the device boots and display works, but the GPU is not detected in the BIOS (RTX 3060 is missing).
After that, I tried to update the...-
