Hello hoaca388 you may be right with your assumption.

The file can't be patched at all, then it doesn't make any sense.

If I search wxHexEditor for L470, it just shows me the result as in the picture.

Your information is not wrong, don't know what he did before but that file has a part in the bios region that belongs to HP, the rest is from Lenovo.

Hello, it looks like your original BIOS is damaged, I can't create a patched file from it.

Attempt to read the BIOS file at least 3 times and compare them so that they are identical.

"IMPORTANT: Before applying the patch make sure you verify that your original image is not corrupted by dumping 1 or 2 additional images from your bios chip and comparing them.

The original dump is THE ONLY WAY to recover your machine if something goes wrong!"
