Thank you for reply. Unfortunately I have not the dumps. I bought new EC and BIOS chip to reprogram it, but I have not old backup. It's my mistake, I was thinking if are crashed are just useless. But in the attachment I have dumps, which are tested by me and working. Only problem is no possible of DMI informations change.Comment

I currently have a HP ZBook 15 G1 that was thrown out at work, it's a shame, there's just a huge scrap bin that they toss stuff in that is fair game. It has a password protected bios. I'd like to unlock it to install an SSD and Linux. I desoldered and read the bios chip I believe with a CH341A. It was a winbond 25q128fvsq. I backed it up to a .bin, how would I go about removing the password at this point or would flashing L70_0146 ME_CLEAN.zip do the trick? Also after that, would there be anything else required? Hello, I have HP Zbook 15 G1 that uses Winbond 25Q128FVSQ. Just recently, I disabled my Hybrid Graphics option through BIOS then after reboot, I'm getting 4 blinks of Capslock and numlock meaning I have Graphic interface controller error, from HP troubleshooting guide. I already removed the CMOS battery hoping it will reset to default but not working. I also tried to use their USB BIOS Recovery but to no avail.
Would reflashing BIOS dump will make this go away? or is there another way to restore my default settings?Comment

I see you've posted the same request in 2 threads but what you need to do is to post your original corrupted bios file but it hasn't been done yet.

ideally, remove the bios chip from the board and put it in the programmer ... if you don't have desolder ...solder wires between the motherboard and the programmer ... don't use the clip, you might have errors. ..use these programs ..

Hi, my laptop wont boot at all
With original bios no POST, only LED lights
With alternative BIOS from model TP500LN (flashed via programmer) the notebook works again
Some issues
A- with bios from 500LN, it won't update from bios of model 500LA (from 500LN v203 to 500LA v300)
B- If updated from 500LN version 203 to 300, the battery stops being recognized
Things I tried

Hello, I have an old Dell G3 3579 (ST: 2WQ7LP2-8FC8) with a newer 8FC8 BIOS password. I have successfully attached to the flash chip (W25Q128JVSQ) on the motherboard with a CH341A programmer and made several modifications using Intel FIT (e.g., allow software SPI write) without bricking. I was also able to boot to a modified GRUB shell where I attempted to edit many BIOS security related options like BIOS Guard/Lock, Flash Signature Override, ME FW Image Re-Flash, etc.
Unfortunately, some of these modifications like to Intel BIOS Guard failed because it is fused into the PCH. Also,... -

I have a Lenovo Thinkbook 15 G2 ITL i5 Laptop (serial number: MP2BFZEF) that when I turn it on, the led on the power button lights up for 5 seconds, then goes out. There's no display and nothing happens.
So I thought it was a Bios problem.
I found 3 bios chips on the board, which I read with a bios programmer: two XMC model bios chips and a Winbond model bios chip. Each XMC model bios chip has two partitions named XM25QH128A [3.3V] and XT25F128A [3.3V]. And the Winbond model bios chip has three partitions named W25Q80BL 3.3V, W25Q80xV 3.3V and W25Q80DV 3.3V.... -

I have been doing hardware repair as a hobby for some years now and recently decided to learn about repairing laptops as a fun challenge.
I managed to get my hands on a "HP Pavilion Gaming 15-ec2523nd" notebook that only shows a white power LED and doesnt respond to anything.
