    stanby 3.3 v 5v are have mb after starting secondary voltage not create
    after shutdown start button led flashing 3 times and stoping

                      yamaha rx-a2a bad stanby power supply

                      I got yamaha rx-a2a and there is no power no stanby led. I was poking arround
                      power supply and shlotsky diod is bad. I get beep of continity. The part has
                      marking m3405 08 d5409 on board. What replacement I can buy for it ? What elese could be shorted out with those diods ?

                      Hello guys, I purchased this week this CD changer to add to my old Pioneer Hifi, well, just lasted 1 CD playing, tried to open the tray to change it and add a full set of three, but got stuck, no opening tray and no response from any button, power but was not responsive and finally unplugged it. Plugged again and no standby led and nothing works.

                      Opened the case and there is almost one zenner diode that gets quite hot, enough to evaporate quickly the alcohol.

                      If I remove from the power supply the CD system, the display blinks, also the temperature of the zenner decreases....

                      Hey everyone I have a set here that shows 0 signs of life no light no backlight nothing. I checked the psu and its outputting 3.5v and the leds are working fine as well tested with led tester. Main psu fuse is good as well so I'm starting to think it may be the mainboard actually but I'm not sure can you guys help me out here?...

                      When the TV is plugged in the red standby LED comes on and nothing else... it won't respond to any of the buttons. I don't get any other signs of life from the TV.

                      I know that a few similar Westinghouse models had an issue where the backlight ribbon cables would short out against the LCD frame, but I have tried turning it on with the backlight ribbons disconnected and nothing changes. I also partially disassembled the panel to inspect the ribbons and they look fine, I even added some electrical tape to insulate them from the frame just to be safe.
