Re: mec 16xx dump with info block
Yes, that's the only place it is sold. As I said, it is still easier to buy the copy because the copy is sold in multiple sites. It doesn't come up as a google search response aswell, only the copies do.
I got mine a couple years ago and at that time, I didn't even know that the original and copy are 1:1. ioprogrammer seemed like a legit seller aswell but it turned out to be the copy after I bought it.
But if activating copy is truely possible then atleast it doesn't go to waste. Original author can still get something for it.Comment

Yes, I know that. You missed my point. My point was that it is too easy to buy the wrong programmer compared to buying the correct one.Comment

Re: mec 16xx dump with info block
Today I spoke with the author at your request ...
Anyone can activate a clone of the programmer through the author of the programmer Vertyanov and make the programmer licensed. It will work with the latest software version 8.2 which can work with the eeprom area. The activation cost is $ 50.
Activation successful on SAS rev 3.9. First victim was T490s using eeprom read/write and it worked nicely. No serial number rewriting needed now.Comment

Re: mec 16xx dump with info block
So did you manage to unlock it? Or did you just read and write? I have Svod3, read and write ok, laptop remains locked Lenovo thinkpad T14 gen 1Comment

Re: mec 16xx dump with info block
As I said, I used vertyanov, not svod3 to unlock it. Still no idea how people use svod3 to unlock. But since I haven't seen anybody confirm it to work, maybe it just doesn't.Comment

Re: mec 16xx dump with info block
@dimkka
When you perform the READ-ERASE-PROGRAM procedure in the EC/KBC, try to disconnect all source of energy including CMOS battery, check if that makes a difference. We had a similar problem, which was solved by disconnecting all source of energy for 2-3 minutes.Comment

Re: mec 16xx dump with info block
Tried it with both SAS and SVOD3. Did not help. It was not needed for vertyanov and rt809 tho.Comment

Re: mec 16xx dump with info block
Hello, if you haven't solved the computrace already, try writing a fresh bios with ME area cleaned.. worked for me. I have both SVOD and RT809H but the latter worked for me concerning the MEC.Comment

Re: mec 16xx dump with info block
@salim1gr
That’s not a problem, you can extract the EC/KBC firmware from a ThinkPad T490 bios update executable, trim the file so it can be used, then use this new file to update the EC/KBC chip using the programmer you have.Comment

by Habble7The Samsung S49CG934SU monitor does not power on - no LED indicator activity and no response to power button. However, when 21V power is connected, it immediately draws 0.8A of current with no display output. The motherboard processor gets warm, and there is continuous reading activity from the W25Q128BV BIOS chip.
Suspected Cause:
I suspect the BIOS may have been corrupted during a power interruption while updating the firmware. The official website provides firmware updates, but they can only be installed via USB flash drive.

by MephysisHello guys i really need help, i recently updated my DS-7208HGHI-K1 and it somehow got bricked, I've got it up and working now by flashing a new dump file i found but the serial number is really wrong and the uploader of the dump file probably intentionally did it.
I still have the bricked dump file is it possible to transfer the serial number of the "bricked dump" to the "working dump"? -
by Andreas_deHello!
i got a damaged Manson NTP-5561 (60V, 1,6A DC output) and and the main issue is that the controler IC for the LCD display has a short. The controler IC PIC18F87K90 is mounted on the back of the back of the LCD. Vss-Vdd = 3 Ohm. The 5V and 3,3V power line was killed as well, but that is not a problem. A new LDO 3,3V and 5V 7805 is already ordered.
Replacing the PIC18F87K90 is necessary but that makes no sense without having the HEX dump of the new controler.
Does anybody have such a power supply and could do a HEX dump of the Flash and EEPROM memory?

by re-atariHello all, as the title says, I'm very much in need of a valid firmware dump of a Anycubic Photon 5.5 3D resin printer. It's stored in a Winbond 25Q32, so it's 4Mbyte.
Here's a little background for my request. A few weeks ago I bought this 3D printer from a guy who had moved on to a PLA printer. I got it at a vey reasonable price, as it was in a defective state. The seller told me that he had experienced a power failure during a firmware upgrade, after which the printer appeared to be dead. He thought the firmware was corrupted in such a way that the printer was now bricked. As he... -
