That's what I couldn't figure out: 123455 and 12345.
/ I know the BIOS file is usable. We use it too. But in these cases, do the serial and MAC addresses cause any conflicts or problems? Could you provide some information?

What couldn't you decode I don't understand the passwords were 123455 and 12345
Anyway here they are in case someone wants to use your BIOS dump to fix their machine later on (since this is a community)Leave a comment:

try this bios.
The site has become paid; I hope I can download it. I uploaded an encrypted BIOS.
model : K401UQ
seri no : H6N0CX11W838248 (K401UQK)
Just so you know, I couldn't delete the password by changing the amitsesetup section to 00 00 00.
You prepare the file, and I'll try to complete the purchase.Attached FilesPremium supporters get full download access and other benefits.

Hi and No the password will not come back if you transfer back your DMIHello. K401UQK has a password-protected BIOS on the model in question. I downloaded a BIOS file from Asus, deleted the first 800, and took the 200000 partition from the old BIOS. The password is gone, and the computer boots up. However, I'm not entirely sure where the DMI partition is located. Also, if I transfer the DMI file, will the password come back?
You can post your BIOS file to unlock instead (But also Post the Serial Number)Leave a comment:

by ronaldopdiasI’m troubleshooting an ASUS ROG Strix B660-I Gaming WiFi motherboard and I’m a bit stuck at the BIOS level. What I’ve tried so far
- Attempted to flash the BIOS using the USB BIOS FlashBack (Q-Flash) port with a properly formatted FAT32 USB drive.
- BIOS file downloaded directly from the official ASUS support page.
- Followed the exact FlashBack procedure (correct port, renamed file, standby power only).
Issue:
The FlashBack LED does not blink at all — no activity whatsoever. Further investigation
Because FlashBack didn’t work, I:- Removed the BIOS SPI IC from

by kinojk2Hi, Thanks for all you do here.
I have attached my 16MB dump.
EDIT2: All hardware working fine, I think I just need to update my linux booatloader and all gucci
EDIT:
I can get into bios now! I reflashed as instructed elsewhere. With a minimal POST (just 1 stick of ram , GPU, CPU, no drives) I have loaded into BIOS. I am about to reinstall my other hardware components now.
The clips are such a pain to use, soldering would be a great skill to have.
Thanks for the advice in other threads!
To answer my own question, I didn't...-

by piratiHello everyone,
I recently bought a non-working Asus Zenbook Pro Duo OLED UX8402ZA that was listed for parts only. The seller mentioned that it had no display output but that the charging lights worked.
When the laptop arrived (without a charger and SSD), I connected a charger and confirmed with a multimeter that it was charging the battery. However, when I tried to power it on, only the backlight of the secondary display came on. There was no image, and it didn’t boot into the BIOS.
I decided to try flashing a new BIOS, but since I didn’t want to desolder...-

by razor_amdWith ASUS, not everything is quite so simple. I will show you my way. It may be longer or harder but it is the right way to do it in my humble opinion.
For example, you can have 3 similar ASUS motherboards, all being the same model, all of which will have different BIOS versions.
I will give you an example and my version of preparing BIOS from ASUS website and in the process I am always cleaning Intel ME while doing it so you have fully cleaned BIOS, no DMI data, no password, nothing.
This is the picture of 3 similar ASUS motherboards, all of them being X555LD...-

Hello.
I am looking for a FULL 8MB BIOS dump for:
ASUS A407UB
Board: 36AM1SB1
Rev: 2.0
The laptop has no 3.3V rails after a bad BIOS flash.
Originally the board powered on abnormally (CPU heating as soon as adapter was plugged).
After flashing an incomplete BIOS image, the board is now dead (no 3.3V, no boot).
What was tried:
- Read BIOS guides and recovery methods
- Used official ASUS BIOS file (partial image)
- Tried flashing with external SPI programmer
- Recovery was not successful
