Guys i have Lenovo T480s that wont charge battery and windows shows thunderbolt error. I flashed U12 with TBT.bin from update and now windows dont shows error no more. but battery is still not charged and stays at 0%, 12.5V. Should i try change battery or flash Assist.bin? or any other hint?

Okay yeah, that's the right chip then. My replacement chips are on the way so will see how it goes when they arrive. Should be pretty straight forward.

If the motherboard is LCFC YODA-2 NM-B481 it is U184

No worries. Do you know what the chip would be called/labeled on the schematic at all if I manage to find one.

I don`t know if that`s the right one, you can check with the schematic if there is one , or make a backup and post i`ll check it.

TBT assist was disabled. I have enabled it and tested it, still the same issue (I presume it is better to be enabled). Just to double check this is the correct chip?

Go into bios settings and check if TBT assist is enabled or not. Backup the current TBT firmware , use a new chip. The firmware at post 1 needs padding out to 1MB using a hex editor.

Yes, tried multiple monitors with different cables. Port looks perfectly fine, no signs of liquid damage at all. Tried the TBT update on Lenovo and tried installing multiple times with multiple restarts but still no luck.

That model doesn`t have thunderbolt 3 it has thunderbolt 4 .

It`s firmware is in the ME firmware , the integrated sensor hub.

after this method result is same as before just 5V on type c port

I had fallowed same thing with tbt and assist tbt that extend with zero to make a 1Mb file, after reprogramming charging LED flashing purple but after a while again message appear and voltage on type c port is 5V.
