I soldered back the 32MB chip but maybe I killed it as now I get flashing power light. Will have to try a new chip before I flash the other 16MB I think.

Could someone please confirm which chip (or both?) I should be flashing? Seems to be differing views unless I missed something.

I used HPUnlocker on the 32MB 25Q256JV, resoldered & now the laptop has a blank screen & fans on high.

I then tried to use RCU on the same chip as per one of the suggestions, but that doesn't work, telling me I should be flashing the 16MB chip.

So do I need to do the 32MB chip, 16MB, or both?

is there any solution to the system end point controller issue?. I have 6050A2945601 with bios issue. I dont have the orig dumps as this came to me as dead, both ec and bios chip were worked on before. Found this bios and the unit powers up again but I now get the endpoint controller issue.

Hello

i tried to remove the bios password from a 840 G5 with a program (32mb chip) now the caps lock and num lock keys blink 3 times and the fans spin all the time (screen stays black. when i restore the original bios file games on it comes again the same problem with the flashing keys and the fan. what can it be? can someone help me?

edit: its a 840 g5 not g6

At first start load bios defaults, save and reset.
