ASUS UX360UAK Bios Serial Number

Hello together,

I just bought an ASUS UX360U laptop which was defective - no power issue, everything I tried to repair the board wasn't sucessfull.
So I ordered a board from Aliexpress for around 300$. This board came to me yesterday, I put it in the laptop and it works good sofar.

Only problem is that the board has no serial number in Bios.

How can I fix this?

Tried fd44 but no sucess. Tried dmicfg, but can't write anything.
Tried to flash latest version of bios with bios flash utility contained in BIOS, it was updated, but still no serial number.

Actual board which came to me is called Q324UA, but it just looks like UX360UA (but Bios of UX360 in Q324 doesn't work).

fd44 is for desktop boards. Do you have any stickers on the board with the serial,mac .Post your original Q324UA bios backup here.

Yes, I do have stickes, but they were blackened on the new board.

Shall I send the stickers of the actual board or the old one?

Another question:

Is it possible to use a UX360 bios on the board instead of Q324 bios? I tried to flash a dump of UX360 dump on the board but get no screen; guess that is because of not compatible FW on EC controller.
Would it be possible to get a dump of latest UX360 bios with serial / MAC etc. which will run on the board?

Those boards from china/ali always have the stickers blackened out like that. Post your original Q324UA bios backup to see if there`s any DMI info in it.

Hello,

on the board is UX360 printed, but it does only work with Q324 BIOS, isn't that strange?

I will upload dump and photo of the stickers this evening, since I managed to remove the blackened out.

Chinese seller wants me to flash this BIOS, he told me that he had added the DMI infos to this BIOS - is this correct? (I've sent him photos of my old board).

Attached you find the pictures of the serial number and the Q324 BIOS

/edit: Installed the "chinese" BIOS, BIOS is working and I have screen etc. But still no serial

/edit2: Flashed to UX360UAK V317 and it still works. So I do have the latest BIOS suiteable for the board but no serial number.

Now backlit is also not working anymore..

Bt and bt2 don‘t work, any idea?

Try this bios or flash back the one at post 5,if it works forget about the serial,or you can find a bios dump for a Q324UA and edit in the serial number from your bios at post 6,the one i sent you in a PM.
