Open your dump with Hxd or other Hexadecimal program

Locate area with
texte AMITSESetup or Hex 41 4d 49 54 53 45 53 65 74 75 70.

Take the hex values in the red area (two passwords can be stored).

Put the hex values in excel decoder.

I try this way, but can't find texte ''AMITSESetup''
Maybe because i have Surface Book, but this manual for Surface Pro 3?
I make dump file with Universal bios backup toolkit 2.0

I have a problem with the BIOS password at my surface pro 3. I thought to remember the correct password, but it doesn't work. After a lot of reading and learning I created the dump and also found a password. By the way, it's the same I remember but this doesn't work. It seems that there is something between the 5 letters. Can someone help?

Thanks, I found that myself but it's not recognized as correct. "Password wrong" is the message. Any idea where the error is?

The keyboard is probably not coded to US standard. Use an external USB keyboard to enter the password.

I have tried:
only touch, is qwerty so should be US
original microsft keyboard via connector, is qwertz so DE
usb keyboard also DE

All three attempts bring the same error. Will try to get a USB keyboard in english.

It is likely to work as the password is correct. However, if it doesn't work, you will need to rewrite the BIOS.

So the ordered keyboard has arrived. Same error message "Invalid Password". Let's see if I get into the topic of rewriting bios or if it's getting too complicated for me. Anyways thanks for your help.

Hello everybody,

I wanted to clean up my SP3 with a complete new installation of win10. The new installation failes all the time (remains at a completion of 84%). At the moment I'm not able to boot from a usb stick, because i dont know what the bios pw is.

So there isn't a running windows on the sp3. Is there any way to get a dump of the BIOS?
