Yes it will fix the slow boot, it also comes with a newer ME firmware, your laptop doesn't "require" an specific ME version, the ME firmware can be updated anytime, as long as it's the same SKU (Consumer H) and chipset (KBP/BSF/GCF-H A SPT-H D), you can update ME 11.7 to 11.8 (part of the same ME 11 family)

Thanks. Can you confirm this file has ME 11.7.0.1040 firmware? My GL553VD requires 11.7 but analysis shows this file has ME 11.8.50.3399. I am trying to solve for slow boot since bios got corrupted.

Since this is old laptop the barcode sticker has scratches but Motherboard number is : PN-60NB0DY0-MB14100
While the bios was corrupted I couldn't save the original dump initially as a backup. Hence tried what was available online which is attached for reference.

I asked or the barcode sticker, as there it says either GL553VD or GL553VE next to where you found the 60NB*** number, Both GL553VD and GL553VE have same PCB number, but use different BIOS

According to S/N at ASUS website you have GL553VD, try post 2, it's ASUS service BIOS, comes with a clean ME region

S/N from the bottom cover please..., and attach your original corrupted BIOS backup read with a programmer before you tried flashing "any other dumps for GL553VD present online", compressed as .zip or .rar
