Try again, I've updated the file. If it still doesn't work, then try flashing both of these filesUnfortunately, the problem persists, master.

Hello, I have a major problem with this laptop that I’d like your help solving. As you know, this laptop uses a WSON8 BIOS chip, which means it’s practically mandatory to desolder it to read it properly with a CH341A controller adapter, but in a desperate attempt to make things easier in a “miraculous” way, the computer read it using the SOIC8 tweezers. However, I assumed that connection was stable when it wasn’t, and I ran the erase process to rewrite the BIOS. To some extent, it was working, I even saved a backup but it wasn’t complete the clamps simply didn’t make a firm enough contact for the processes to run correctly. So I ended up without the original BIOS for that laptop, and on top of that, I was getting errors. That’s when I finally desoldered the chip and used a socket I bought on AliExpress, which was clearly the right approach because the chip read it without any issues on the first try and everything worked fine. But the problem is that now I don’t have a BIOS, and none of the BIOS files I’ve downloaded from the internet for this model work for me, the laptop simply won’t boot, it stays on all the time without displaying image and the fan runs at full speed. I even performed a “ME” clear using FIT and extracted the repositories specifically for version 11.8.50.3470, but nothing changed, it’s still doing the same thing. Could you help me find a solution? ThanksComment

The RAM keeps beeping even after changing the RAM; The circuit itself is fine. I tried the BIOS files mentioned above, but it didn't work. I hope the original BIOS file for the device can be repaired.

by WutruHi guys,
If someone would be able to provide some expertise, I'd be very grateful.
BIOS Corruption - Cause
So I managed to corrupt my machine by installing linux and enrolling custom secure boot keys. I did choose to enroll the Microsoft keys as well, to prevent any potential bricking due to 3rd party drivers from HP being signed with those keys.
After doing that, and rebooting(it did boot, powerLED, fanspin etc.), the laptop did not give any video output on the LCD or video connectors. I think I was able to get in BIOS and trigger the beeper by pressing ESC....-

by STKR123Greetings badcaps community,
I havent done this for a long time and want to start it all again, after some evil and annyoing illness.
So I apologize in advance, if some phrases might sound a bit like gibberish or illogical to you.
Im trying my best to fully describe what I plan to achieve and hope I was choosing the right sub-forum for my new adventure.
I have a Elitebook 820 G1 and a Elitebook 840 G2 here.
These ask for a password when entering the BIOS, but boot just fine from the internal SSD.
I learned that desoldering...10-29-2024, 06:03 AM -
by macabookHello everyone,
I’m currently working on a dead MSI GP75 Leopard (MS-17E71) motherboard (i7 CPU, NVIDIA GPU) with a no display/no backlight issue initially. After extensive investigation, I’m at a critical stage involving EC firmware, BIOS/ME region interaction, and possible deep corruption. I'm seeking advanced insight from anyone with experience in EC/BIOS sync issues or PCH-level behavior. Here’s a full breakdown:
🧩 Initial Issue- Board powers on (fans spin, keyboard lights up and can be adjusted, caps lock led lights), but no display or backlight

i get 7 blinks on the capslock and thats it. i desoldered the chips front and back. and made a dump. i tried one bios posted here for the 16M and the 32Mb bios.. but it would not turn on or give an error code. so now i reflashed it back in its failed state...-

by TrademarkHello everyone,
I’m hoping someone can help me locate a verified original BIOS dump for my Acer laptop.
This is NOT a BIOS password removal request.
I’m looking for an original 32MB SPI BIOS dump to use as a reference in case my BIOS firmware is corrupted. My plan is to first dump and back up my own BIOS as soon as my programmer arrives. I am not planning to blindly flash someone else’s BIOS.
