Hi sorry, no one replied. Am i right on this?

I will need to read my original bios dump. Then replace body for boot option and lenovotranslateservice using UEFItool, and then save a new image. After which I will reflash bios and I should be able to remove my bios lock right?

I`d say a lot of the members here are working at the moment. In the meantime while you`re waiting if you have anything to share such as bios dumps or schematics feel free to post them and help the community here .

I can confirm that it works!
I flashed that same file on my x240 and worked with the following sympthoms:

                        First boot:
                        Boots on power connect.
                        2x 5 beeps as expected
Delay some seconds until logo appears and then hangs up there. No keyboard response.
I waited 30 seconds and powered it off by holding the power button 4 seconds.

                        Second boot:
I simply let it go and it boot up and automatically reboot. After that reboot it passed the logo screen and I could enter the bios password using code 1234.
                        Two space bars.
                        "TPM certificate changed, turn off."

And that was it, flashed back the original bios and now the supervisor password is gone.

                        Again, thank you very much.

                                Is t540p harder to patch?

I see x240, x250 requests are patched lightning fast.

Should I better go with some paid service?

By this time you could have read the whole topic a few times and have done it yourself instead of asking 5 times. Would help but I'm rarely behind a PC.

Hi, i have an ASUS PRIME Z590M-PLUS board, which had an shorted Z590 chipset. I have succesfully exchanged the chipset to a factory new one, however there is a serious problem with the Intel Management Engine (later on: ME) not beeing activated after the chipset device replacement.

For lower chipset families (on ASUS boards) it worked to program the oldest bios version into the SPI rom, and the bios had activated the Management Engine itself by default - there was a message on the screen prior booting - "BIOS is updating Management Engine ..... . Its a bit of a long tale but i swapped the original hd for a 2tb ssd,i want about 6 bootable partitions,it needs the uefi enabling in the bios,I am ok with that, the issue is i cant convert the drive to gpt when it has data on it,the issue is windows wont install to a gpt drive, there is a utility from hp to install the efi partition on the drive but it runs on windows, its a chicken and egg thing, can anyone explaine how hp did this?,I am pulling my hair out;it seems i need to run the hp uefi tool to make the uefi option work in the bios, but it needs windows to run this that wont install on a gpt...

Is unlocking UEFI worth the hassle? (Surface Pro 4)

                                            Hey guys,

Bought myself Surface Pro 4 tablet today on a local craigslist-type website.
I've seen that UEFI was password protected and of course the seller forgot the password, but decided to buy it anyway.
Really needed such a tablet to use with RomRaider to do some logging/tuning on my car.
It has secure boot turned off and boots from USB, so I've formatted SSD and have done clean win10 install.

Works fine, but wanted to ask, are there any real security risks associated with UEFI settings on Surface (remote access etc.)?

                                            From what I've...

Intel NUC NUC6i3SYH UEFI Update went wrong
                                            by S70rm7r00p3r
                                            Hi guys.

I am very new to this business and i have some questions. Maybe someone can help me further.

I have a 2015 Intel NUC NUC6i3SYH and for some internet and office the computer works perfectly. Lately it has been bugging me a bit on and off. Then I saw there is a UEFI update from Intel and I thought if I put it on, the problems might be gone, but unfortunately the update didn't go through. The screen stayed black and after waiting for a while nothing happened, I had to pull the plug at some point. Of course, the NUC then failed to boot!

                                            ...

                                            by hinsech475
Hi, I would appreciate your help with the following problem.

I have a Fujitsu laptop AH562 witn a BIOS-UEFI problem since I converted the HDD to a SSD. For more details on the paltop go to the following link:

                                            http://support.fujitsupc.com/CS/Port...srch=TECHSPECS

After copying the HDD to SSD with ALtiris utility provided with the Kingston SSD and replacing the HDD with the SSD the laptop went into a startup loop with no screen display and only the disk LED flashing twice per second. I waited for approximatly 2h and then stopped the laptop...
