Okay a bit of feedback here, this modded bios did do its magic , but now after I have flashed the old original bios back, it will not boot it just sits with black screen and no fan, no sound, should I clean the ME region or do something else before flashing the old bios back ?
If the BIOS is original one, you don't need to clean ME Region.
It's important after pach to start and enter in BIOS setup and load default settings (F9) then save. It is mandatory to do that in order to assert the configuration and ACPI tables.

OK i figured out what was wrong, my soldering skills were bad. SO after the patch, do you mean to start on the original bios and load default settings or on the modded bios and enter the default settings? Just for my clarification. Thx

Yep worked well. thx. I also figured out there i whent wrong in modding the bios, BTW in my early attempts I inserted the BootOption in the lenovosetupstartupdxe and this made it possible to get into the bios and would only activae the mod when trying to change the SV password, but I think I used the wrong version of LenovoTranslateService, becaulse it would not accept any keys. I may explore that also, what do you think?

its strange i have unlocked several machines now all same model, some will not load the patched bios makenig 2x5 beeps and screen remains black, what is going on ? on other machines works repect, all same model.

Update: to fix this problem I used one of the other machines pached bios that worked on the original machine. Worked like a charm. Still dunno on why some patched bios files dont work.

Hi, i have an ASUS PRIME Z590M-PLUS board, which had an shorted Z590 chipset. I have succesfully exchanged the chipset to a factory new one, however there is a serious problem with the Intel Management Engine (later on: ME) not beeing activated after the chipset device replacement.

Its a bit of a long tale but i swapped the original hd for a 2tb ssd,i want about 6 bootable partitions,it needs the uefi enabling in the bios,I am ok with that, the issue is i cant convert the drive to gpt when it has data on it,the issue is windows wont install to a gpt drive, there is a utility from hp to install the efi partition on the drive but it runs on windows, its a chicken and egg thing, can anyone explaine how hp did this?,I am pulling my hair out;it seems i need to run the hp uefi tool to make the uefi option work in the bios, but it needs windows to run this that wont install on a gpt...

Is unlocking UEFI worth the hassle? (Surface Pro 4)
                                            by CronaxFD
                                            Hey guys,

Bought myself Surface Pro 4 tablet today on a local craigslist-type website.
I've seen that UEFI was password protected and of course the seller forgot the password, but decided to buy it anyway.
Really needed such a tablet to use with RomRaider to do some logging/tuning on my car.
It has secure boot turned off and boots from USB, so I've formatted SSD and have done clean win10 install.

Works fine, but wanted to ask, are there any real security risks associated with UEFI settings on Surface (remote access etc.)?

                                            From what I've...

Intel NUC NUC6i3SYH UEFI Update went wrong
                                            by S70rm7r00p3r
                                            Hi guys.

I am very new to this business and i have some questions. Maybe someone can help me further.

I have a 2015 Intel NUC NUC6i3SYH and for some internet and office the computer works perfectly. Lately it has been bugging me a bit on and off. Then I saw there is a UEFI update from Intel and I thought if I put it on, the problems might be gone, but unfortunately the update didn't go through. The screen stayed black and after waiting for a while nothing happened, I had to pull the plug at some point. Of course, the NUC then failed to boot!

                                            ...

                                            by hinsech475
Hi, I would appreciate your help with the following problem.

I have a Fujitsu laptop AH562 witn a BIOS-UEFI problem since I converted the HDD to a SSD. For more details on the paltop go to the following link:

                                            http://support.fujitsupc.com/CS/Port...srch=TECHSPECS

After copying the HDD to SSD with ALtiris utility provided with the Kingston SSD and replacing the HDD with the SSD the laptop went into a startup loop with no screen display and only the disk LED flashing twice per second. I waited for approximatly 2h and then stopped the laptop...
