Hello,
I'm new to the forums. I have an Acer Aspire V5-551 that I may have bricked.
I was trying to clear the CMOS by removing the battery and letting it set for 30 or so minutes. I then plugged the ac back in and booted it forgetting to put the CMOS battery back in. Needless to say, it no longer boots (stuck on the Acerloading screen). And the password didn't clear. The most infuriating thing is that I now remember the password, and I can go into the bios, but none of the settings related to booting mode or secure boot are saving after reboot.
I tried doing what was done in this video ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wnrRC0ckJJI ), but I suspect that the Acer provided BIOS installer files can't be used that way.
Does anyone have the files that can be put on a USB to install new uncorrupt bios on the laptop?
Thanks in advance!

EDIT:
At the suggestion of a tech engineer on another forum, I have removed the HDD and when booting it does give me an error of no bootable device found and it takes me into the boot manager. I'm wondering if this helpful information?
