Re: Bios and Schematic HP 840 g1 - 6050A2560201-MB-A03
LE: Thank you @andrew25 It was my mistake. I was using a brand new chip instead of the laptop original chip. HP bios is paired to the MOBO. CH341A Does not support CHIP ID chgange to match the original chip so you need to always use original chip from the laptop. Thank you very much. I hope this will help others too! Andrew's BIOS is good!!!

I have spare chips and I tried flashing a new chip with no success. My programmer I am using is CH341A.
Can somebody please help me with the proper BIOS dumps for my laptop?Attached FilesLast edited by andrew25; 07-18-2017, 09:57 PM.

Re: Bios needed for HP Elitebook 840 G1 (6050A2559101-MB-A03)
Thanks, but it's not the right one. There is one Winbond W25Q128 chip and one Winbond W25W16 chip so the bioses are 16MB + 2MB. I found some bioses on ******* forum and flashed them but the result is the same.
When the power adapter is inserted into the motherboard, all the lights for power on are immediately lit up. There are 3.3V and 5V standby. There is also voltage on coils for the battery charge (2 battery terminals) and one coil has about 1V. No other coil on the board has voltage. No voltage for CPU and no voltage for GPU. When I long press the power button laptop won't turn off.
Is it maybe the problem with KBC? I will upload high res photo of the board to mediafire shortly...
