it has been repaired some time ago and under warranty so i suspect not original motherboard

it has black screen, no post
already reflowed VGA but all the same

with bare board outside do you get vga signal?

if you got a scope you can see if the bios chip its ok before power button its press!

aaaaaaaaaaaand if its AMD CPU recheck or change the bios battery!

check coils and post back the voltage on each coil.

to see if the vga chip its working I use a lab PSU and inject 1V and if its getting hot normal temp its OK

no video on extrernal vga conn

i do not have a scope

but i think bios eeprom ic is dead, cant read it propertly
i have working willem and cheap usb spi programmer, both get id but every time i read i get other output, cannot verify it

plus its 2mb bios, on website its 4mb... strange

I've got same problem with this AMD, C640

Reball both chipset still does same, power on but no display
Flashing bios no effect, gonna replace a new chip and see what's gonna happen.
Still Wait for new chip

i tried with SST25VF016B but all the same
cpu and chipset get hot, but not much, fan periodically stop and start when temp goes high

@ala_borbe. what processor do you have? I have also c660 but I forgot the sub model. I uploaded bios so you can check.

Check if bios chip is ok RSMRST 3.3v and S5 3.3V does the cap lock key have activity ? if yes to this bios is working if no just upload your original file and i will give you a working dump .

flashed ec, no change
flashed main, no change

im not much into chasing signals trough board, im giving up on this one

could not backup main, could not read it
here is ec dump and new fixed ec
main is extracted from official bios update, not tested but maybe someone else can test it
