I am looking for experienced BIOS modders who can help analyze or unlock the BIOS of my Acer Nitro Lite 16 NL16-71G.

Please note that this post was written with the help of ChatGPT because my English is limited. My native language is Russian. If anything is unclear, please let me know and I will do my best to explain.

✔ Located several hidden BIOS variables.

Intel FPT can READ the BIOS without any problems.

Intel FPT cannot WRITE the BIOS.

Error:

Error 167:
Protected Range Registers are currently set by BIOS.

H2OUVE does not work.

Initialization failed.

LoadDeviceDriver failed (0x7B)

Device Guard is disabled.

Hi, unlocking advanced settings and menus isn't really the main focus here on Badcaps Forum
In my honnest opinion, try other forums that specialize in BIOS customization like bios-mods or Win-Raid

I finally found the solution to the severe CPU throttling on my Acer Nitro Lite NL16-71G.

My laptop was running BIOS 1.19, and under gaming load the CPU would quickly become power limited. It dropped to around 1.5 GHz, PL1/PL2 throttling was constantly triggered, FPS dropped to single digits, the game froze, and even the audio started stuttering. Temperatures were not the main issue at that point.

After a lot of troubleshooting, I downgraded the BIOS from 1.19 to 1.05. The difference was huge.

After installing BIOS 1.05:

• CPU no longer gets stuck at 1.5 GHz.
• Power limits are much less restrictive.
• The fans work much more aggressively.
• CPU power consumption increased to normal values under load.
• Games run smoothly without the massive FPS drops and stuttering.

If anyone has the same laptop and is experiencing severe CPU throttling on BIOS 1.19, downgrading to BIOS 1.05 completely solved the problem for me.

Of course, BIOS flashing always carries a risk. Make sure you know what you're doing and understand the risks before attempting a downgrade.
