    Acer Aspire 3 A315-22G - NB8607G02-MB (Compal LA-J761P) - BIOS Password Removal / Clean BIOS Needed

    Hello everyone,

I need help with BIOS password removal for Acer Aspire 3 A315-22G laptop.

    Device Information:
    - Model: Acer Aspire 3 A315-22G
    - Motherboard: NB8607G02-MB (Compal LA-J761P)
    - BIOS Chip: Winbond W25Q64 (8MB)
    - Serial: NXHE7ER00X95002B784S00

    Problem:
    - BIOS is password protected (Supervisor Password)
    - Boot from USB is disabled in BIOS
    - After 3 wrong password attempts, system shows Unlock Key Hint
    - I have RT809H programmer available

    What I need:
    1. Clean BIOS dump (password removed) for NB8607G02-MB
    2. OR help with removing password from my original dump

    I can:
    - Read my original BIOS chip and upload the dump file
    - Program a new W25Q64 chip with clean BIOS

I found "Acer Aspire 3 A315-22 NB8607 Rev1.0 BIOS" online, but I'm not sure if it's compatible with NB8607G02-MB revision.

    Please help me with:
    - Clean BIOS dump for NB8607G02-MB
    - Or confirm if NB8607 Rev1.0 BIOS is compatible
    - Or help remove password from my original dump

Thank you in advance for your help!

    Best regards

      Hi Sparo,

Thank you for the password (12345)!

Unfortunately, I still cannot download the file "A315-22G_BIOS_Ver_109.rar" β€” it shows "Premium supporters get full download access" error even after m1ch43lzm unlocked it.

As you requested, here's my Unlock Key Hint: **956B1AEE**

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

      Thank you!
      Best regards,

Hi again Olegst44 ! Remember this is an English ONLY Forum
Take some time to read the Forum's rules > RULES UPDATE for BIOS requests/offers *AVOID BANNING, READ BEFORE POSTING* - Badcaps
Also for the websites you posted, they only work when the hint unlock code is all decimal keys (8 digits, 10 digits) e.g. 81256749 Yours is a hex key 956B1AEE
That said, I don't know why the password 12345 didn't work for you? It's the correct decoded password but I'll look into this again tomorrow

              Hi Sparo!!!

IT WORKED!!! THE PASSWORD 12345 WORKED!!! πŸŽ‰πŸŽ‰πŸŽ‰

I'm so sorry for the confusion earlier β€” I must have entered it incorrectly
when I tried before (maybe a typo, or I missed a digit, or the keyboard layout was wrong).
It was totally my mistake! Please forgive me for doubting! πŸ™

Thank you SO MUCH for your help, patience, and expertise!
I was struggling with this BIOS password for so long, and you saved me!

You're absolutely AMAZING! My laptop is finally unlocked and I can use it again!
              You're a HERO! πŸ™πŸ™

Thank you thank you thank you!!!

                  Hello everyone!

I want to express my sincere gratitude to user
Sparo for helping me unlock the BIOS! πŸ™

                  Laptop: Acer A315-22G (AMD A6-9220e, Radeon R4)
Problem: BIOS was password-protected, and the
                  password didn't work.

After contacting Sparo, I received a hint code
and the universal password 12345, which successfully
unlocked the BIOS. I immediately removed the
password (Set Password β†’ empty field), disabled
Secure Boot, and configured boot from USB.

If anyone needs a BIOS dump for this laptop
(Acer A315-22G) β€” feel free to download the
                  dump I attached. It's working, password 12345
works, BIOS is unlocked. Can be used for
                  restoration or chip replacement.

Thanks again to everyone who helps the community! πŸ™Œ

                  Photos attached.

                  ---

❗ NEW PROBLEM (not related to BIOS):

βœ… Laptop works stably with the original
                  soldered 4GB DDR4 RAM
βœ… Decided to add an 8GB stick for upgrade
                  βœ… RAM stick: KINSOTIN DDR4-8GB-NB-3200MHz
                  (P/N: N432CXBMB, Made in China)

                  Photos attached.

                  ❌ Problem:
                  - I insert the stick into the free slot (until
                  it clicks, latches closed)
                  - I turn on the laptop: fans spin, indicators
light up, BUT NO SCREEN BACKLIGHT β€” screen
                  is completely black
                  - Waited up to 9 minutes (for memory
                  initialization) β€” didn't start
                  - I turn off, remove the stick β€” laptop
immediately boots normally with original 4GB

                  πŸ”§ What I've already tried:
                  - Reset BIOS to factory defaults
                  (Load Defaults)
                  - Disable Secure Boot
                  - Install official drivers from Acer website
                  (Chipset + VGA)
                  - Clean RAM stick contacts with an eraser
                  - Reset EC (power button 60 sec without battery)

                  πŸ’‘ Questions to the community:

                  1. Is the 3200MHz KINSOTIN RAM stick compatible
                  with AMD A6-9220e processor?
                  - CPU: AMD A6-9220e (1.6 GHz Base /
                  up to 2.4 GHz Boost)
                  - Memory controller officially supports
                  DDR4 up to 2400MHz
                  - In practice, system runs at 1866-2133MHz

                  2. Could the problem be with the SPD profile
or timings of the Chinese RAM stick?
                  - It's known that budget sticks sometimes
don't correctly provide data to the controller
or don't support downclock below 2666/2400MHz,
causing older AMD APUs to fail POST initialization.

                  3. Is it worth trying to update BIOS or edit
SPD timings via programmer, or is this a
hardware incompatibility, and easier to return
the stick / look for DDR4-2400MHz from trusted
                  brands?

                  πŸ“‹ Full laptop specifications:
                  - Model: Acer Aspire 3 A315-22G
                  - Processor: AMD A6-9220e (1.6 GHz Base /
up to 2.4 GHz Boost, 2 cores)
                  - Graphics: AMD Radeon R4 Graphics (integrated)
                  + AMD Radeon 530 (discrete, 2GB)
                  - RAM: 4GB soldered (DDR4, runs at 1866MHz)
                  + 1 SO-DIMM slot
                  - BIOS: version 1.09 (haven't updated, have
                  backup via RT809H programmer)

πŸ”§ Skills: have repair experience, soldering
station, RT809H programmer β€” ready for advanced
                  methods if there's a chance.

I would be very grateful for any advice! Thanks
in advance to everyone who responds. πŸ™

                  Hello everyone,

I’m currently working on a dead MSI GP75 Leopard (MS-17E71) motherboard (i7 CPU, NVIDIA GPU) with a no display/no backlight issue initially. After extensive investigation, I’m at a critical stage involving EC firmware, BIOS/ME region interaction, and possible deep corruption. I'm seeking advanced insight from anyone with experience in EC/BIOS sync issues or PCH-level behavior. Here’s a full breakdown:
                  🧩 Initial Issue
                  • Board powers on (fans spin, keyboard lights up and can be adjusted, caps lock led lights), but no display or backlight

                  Hello everyone,
I am requesting urgent assistance to unbrick my laptop, a rebranded TongFang GK7MRFR chassis. The laptop is completely dead following a faulty in-OS EC flash attempt.
I have successfully used a CH341A programmer and can read/write/verify both flash chips, but using my backups/extractions has failed to restore power. The root cause is likely a corrupted Intel Management Engine (ME) region or an incompatible EC/BIOS pairing. System & Hardware Details

However, when I tried to power it on, only the backlight of the secondary display came on. There was no image, and it didn’t boot into the BIOS.

I decided to try flashing a new BIOS, but since I didn’t want to desolder...
