BIOS dump for a Razer Blade Pro 17 FHD (RZ09-0220, 2017)

    Hi all,

Looking for a clean BIOS dump for a Razer Blade Pro 17 FHD (RZ09-0220, 2017). Unit was bricked by power transients during a tropical storm shutdown in Hawaii. Razer has EOL'd this product and won't provide BIOS support.

    Details:
    - Model: Razer Blade Pro 17 FHD
    - Part number: RZ09-0220
    - Year: 2017
    - Flash chip: Winbond W25Q128 (assumed)
    - Cause: power transient on shutdown — dead on next boot

CH341A programmer + SOIC8 clip on the way. Happy to dump and share my chip back to the community once recovered — that's the deal.

    Any help greatly appreciated!

The bios chip must be unsoldered from the board before writing or reading..
do not use the clip, you may have errors..if you do not have anything to unsolder it with,
solder wires between the programmer and the bios chip..

you need an SPI programmer...here is a video for example..https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DWWi...nnel=ThisIsHow

UPDATE — Correct BIOS chip identified

I've confirmed the actual BIOS flash chip on this board:

          Macronix (MXIC) MX25L6406E M2I-12G

          • 64Mbit (8MB), SPI, 3.3V, SOIC-8
          • Date code: 58408900 K174583
          • My earlier post referenced a W25Q128 — that was incorrect, disregard it

          Hardware confirmed:

          • Model: Razer Blade Pro 17 FHD | RZ09-0220
          • Product Code: RZ09-02202E75-R3U1
          • S/N: BY1747A13900750

CH341A programmer + spare MX25L6406EZNI-12G chips are in transit (arriving ~Mar 30). Per advice in this thread, I'll be unsoldering the chip rather than using the SOIC8 clip.

Still looking for a known-good BIOS dump for this board if anyone has one. Will post back with results once the programmer arrives.

I did contact Razer Support directly but they refused to provide the file. Now I get what the John Deere owners were complaining about.

                    Dear Forum Readers!

I'm looking for a BIOS modder or anyone with experience who would give me suggestions about my razer blade's BIOS settings.
I can view and edit the content of the BIOS .bin file with AMIBCP BIOS editor.
The BIOS files I'm working with are from badcaps.net and those are CLEAN BIOS files (anyone can find it with the search string: RZ09-0421).

Razer RZ09-01682 Blade Stealth 13 2016 BIOS dump needed
                    by vinaypundith
I have this laptop that does boot but it's on an older BIOS that has issues with Secure Boot, and I cannot use the normal Razer BIOS updater because for some reason the serial number is missing / got deleted somehow (Common issue on this model, from what I've read). I got a dump of the BIOS chip (or at least what I think is the BIOS chip), and its 16MB in size - the files from the Razer BIOS update are 8MB. (There's two 8MB files, am I supposed to combine these somehow? Or combine with an Intel ME firmware? I have no idea).
So, I'm looking for a BIOS dump for this machine - a 16MB one....

Razer Blade 15 Advanced (2020) RZ09-03304F42 Not turning on, 0V on coils, bios not receiving power
                    by masufany
I have a Razer Blade 15 Advanced from 2020 model number RZ09-03304F42 that doesn't turn on, no led light and no charging. When I supply 19v the amperage goes to 6 amps for less than a second, and then drops to 0.5 amps for 1 second and drops once again to 0.1 amps, I checked the coils and they all give 0V, or some 0.4v. The power supply is working, and 19V enter the charging port, I followed its trace and it goes to a mosfet, which receives 19.5v at source, and 17.5v at gate, and goes to the other side of the board, but the coil there's 0V for some reason. What I have found is that the 8mb bios...

Request HP Proliant Microserver Gen 8 (J06) BIOS dump to restore system firmware
                    by Ahari
                    Hi all,

This is my first post here (I am very new to forums!) and I hope someone can help. I am looking for a full dump of the BIOS of a HP Proliant Microserver Gen 8 so that I can get this mini server running again. (BIOS version J06 2019-04-04, chip 25Q064A). I think my board was partially bricked after a failed BIOS update.

I got it second hand in this state and all the normal attempts at bios restoration have not worked. I have even desoldered the chip and tried to load the actual BIOS from HP, but it is missing some parts needed to boot the system.

                    I...

(Request) MSI PRO B660M-A DDR4 (MS-7D43 Rev 1.0) Bios Dump
                    by Junhijam
Hi, I'm new to all of this so I hope I'm doing correctly and not breaking any rules.
I need help for my MSI PRO B660M-A DDR4 motherboard BIOS dump.
The motherboard got bricked during BIOS update due to a power cut in my village while updating BIOS. Now the PC is not booting. Fans kept spinning and no display is coming.
A local technician said I need the full BIOS dump/file for this motherboard.
                    My Motherboard model is:
                    MSI PRO B660M-A DDR4
                    MS-7D43 REV 1.0
                    The Bios chip is:
                    MXIC
                    MX25U25673GZ4140

Please, if anyone has the same board...
