    Asus Vivobook 16 F1605P BIOS

    Laptop: ASUS Vivobook 16 F1605P - F1605PA-MB125W
    Laptop link: https://www.asus.com/es/laptops/for-...l2Name=F1605PA
    Bios Chip: GigaDevice - 25R128ESIG - C034791 - PJ2249
    Bios Name File: X1605PAAS.302

I've spent all day trying to find a way to extract the BIOS from the file Asus provides on their website, but it's impossible.
I managed to extract the BIOS using a programmer, but I don't know if it's good or corrupted. The laptop won't boot. When I connect the AC power cable, only the power LED lights up, the fans don't spin, the screen doesn't turn on, nothing.
I've searched for information on flashing the BIOS via USB, but I can't find anything. I would be extremely grateful if someone has the BIOS file to flash manually or any other information on how to do it.

    Thanks a lot.

Why do you think the bios is corrupted?
post the contents of the bios chip even if it is corrupted..
post S/N, full name and model, motherboard model, etc.
The bios chip must be unsoldered from the board before writing or reading..
do not use the clip, you may have errors..if you do not have anything to unsolder it with,
solder wires between the programmer and the bios chip..

you need an SPI programmer...here is a video for example..https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DWWi...nnel=ThisIsHow

Due to a lack of donations, server free space at a critical level, and possible closure of Bios Requests all donations are welcome, click:

Hi, thank you so much for your reply.
I've tried everything with this laptop, so I assumed the BIOS became corrupted due to a bad update. I don't have any further information on why it stopped working.
The only thing I see that's unusual with a thermal camera is a "5E=9D RON" chip that gets up to 30°C. From what I've researched, it's a buck DC-DC regulator waiting for an instruction.

I've attached the BIOS file that I was able to extract using the clip with the "CH341A" chip. I've done this several times with no errors, mainly with HP laptop BIOSes that often get corrupted during updates.

      Full Name: Asus Vivobook 16

      More data above S/N: F1605PA-MB125W
I don't see any motherboard model, but there's a QR with numbers: TOP: X1605PA BOTTOM: 23470937 SIDE: 69N1GAM11B11

          Hello, good morning.
I successfully flashed the BIOS you sent me.
However, the laptop is still doing the same thing.

If the BIOS you sent me is correct, perhaps the problem is something else, like a short in a capacitor or something; I don't know.

I'll keep investigating. Thank you very much.

[TUTORIAL] fix asus bios with bios from asus web support (by razor_amd)
            by razor_amd
With ASUS, not everything is quite so simple. I will show you my way. It may be longer or harder but it is the right way to do it in my humble opinion.

For example, you can have 3 similar ASUS motherboards, all being the same model, all of which will have different BIOS versions.

I will give you an example and my version of preparing BIOS from ASUS website and in the process I am always cleaning Intel ME while doing it so you have fully cleaned BIOS, no DMI data, no password, nothing.

This is the picture of 3 similar ASUS motherboards, all of them being X555LD...

ASUS TUF GAMING Z790-PLUS WIFI - BIOS Help
            by grimacelord
            Hello,

I have spent the last hour on this and I guess this is just over my head, so here I am.

I have an ASUS TUF GAMING Z790-PLUS WIFI motherboard here that needs to have the BIOS updated in order to accept the latest CPUs.

The BIOS chips seem to come as a set of two: GD25B64ESIG and GD25B128ESIG. My guess is one of them is a fail-safe for the main BIOS? I really don't know. Or one of them is ME and other is BIOS? I don't know.

Anyway, I took dumps of both chips and then downloaded the latest update for this motherboard from ASUS's website...

            ASUS VivoBook F512D bios request
            by mkdj
            Dear all,

Symptoms: laptop draws approx. 700mA when powered on. Power light turns on. But no image, fan is not spinning, CPU is heating. Capslock is working. I have voltages on all coils (3.3V, 5V and other smaller voltages). I suspect a BIOS issue.

I have tried downloading the latest BIOS from ASUS website and flashing it. No success. I tried various dumps from this thread, without success neither.

Any help would be very welcome.
