You MUST:

sorry, i tried to found a dump bios or get a bios to "reflash" , but it is stuck in recovery mode , in lenovo website i only got the files to update bios via windows

If it`s stuck in recovery i think your only option is to buy an SPI programmer. Make backups of both chips before flashing any other bios, post the backups here and we can check if they are good or not, then we`ll tell you what to do next.

hi friend, good night , i want to thank you, thank you so much, you saved my day.
I only flashed the 16mb and it works,
I had to modify the ch341 for 3.3v and also im going to upload the dump i made from the 16mb chip.

Hi I am a new member and first time poster here. I am hoping someone can please help.

I have a similar problem with a bricked laptop. The Lenovo Vantage software implemented BIOS update, it did not complete and has now bricked my laptop.

I have been trying the EC BIOS fix with prepared file on USB stick taken from the v49 exe file from Lenovo support link for my serial number.

Dropped it onto a usb stick, FN + R and press the power button to initiate the process.

It generally beeps twice and writes a failure to a crisis log.

Crisis log reports it can't find the file, i have tried multiple name options and all have same effect. Original file in the exe is WinKTCN49WW.fd.

Can anyone please help supply the expected file name to use? I have matched what it says in crisis file KTCN49.fd but that doesn't work.


Do I need to go one version back to 48?

post the contents of the bios chip even if it is corrupted..

The bios chip must be unsoldered from the board before writing or reading..
do not use the clip, you may have errors..if you do not have anything to unsolder it with,
solder wires between the programmer and the bios chip..
