HP Elitebook 830 G8 HP Endpoint Controller error and no power issue (intermitent)

    Hi all,

I have a HP Elitebook 830 G8 with endpoint controller error and besides that laptop sometimes doesn´t power on and i think it´s bios related also.
I already tried to solve the issue with SMDFlea patch fix and now i can´t power on the equipment anymore not even replacing main bios by its original.

Please take a look at my original main bios and help me if possible (i also attached EC BIOS without password).
The mainboard also had password that i manage to remove.

    Thanks
    Best Regards

      Hi hoaca388,

Thanks for your reply, before me messing with bios extration and rewriting it i manage to get laptop working but with endpoint error, the laptop just start to not powering on at all since i mess with main bios.
So thats why i asked if anyone could check the bins i attached or simply post some (i have no problem with dmi info, i can program it after) that i can program to see if the problem is from the bins i have or not.

One thing i noticed that and i'm wondering if could be the issue, is when i solder the main chip i hear a "snap". Do you think its possible to read and write the main bios and the chip be faulty aswell due to too much heat perhaps?

Thanks to anyone who can help me.

        Hi all,

Anyone can check my uploaded bios files to see if they are good or corrupted please?
And if any problem is detected please correct it for me?
ATM laptop flashes 6 times on caps lock.

Surface Pro 7 type 1866 PD controller firmware issue
          by titomno2
          Hi guys,

          Hope you are fine.
I'm struggling to fix a small issue with one of the tablet Surface Pro 7 type 1866 i'm fixing (windows 11).
The boot time is so long (up to 5-10 minutes).
After several attempt I finally find one thing is not right (PD controller firmware is 0.0.0 it can't update to 3.6.1) under device manager I have a yellow mark, code 14 and error as decribed on picture attached.
I don't find any information regarding the error code 0x1803 (and sometimes it change to 0x1804.
In the past I have found that if the update is a success, the boot...

HP Elitebook 840 G5 Endpoint Security Controller Problem
          by filewalker
          Hi,

I have recently bought a Laptop that has a Endpoint Security Controller Problem. According to the seller it has just appeared all of the sudden.

Things I have tried so far:
          • Restore the security settings to defaults and restart the laptop
          • Disable all the security options
          • Clear the NvramActiveRegn areas (replace with FF) Hex Area 37000-38FF0

Also I have checked the DMI Information which seems right according to the stickers on the mainboard.

Is there anything else I can try?...

Help Needed: Reverse Polarity Issue on HP EliteBook 840 G4 – Where Do I Begin?
          by Dev Goose
Hi everyone, I recently acquired an HP EliteBook 840 G4 (6050A2854301-MB-A01) that I'm hoping to bring back to life. I'm fairly new to laptop repairs but eager to learn and willing to put in the effort to understand and fix this. Any advice or guidance would mean a lot!

          What Happened
The issue started when the laptop was accidentally plugged in with reverse polarity. Before this incident, the laptop would show a power/charging light whenever it was plugged in. However, now it's completely unresponsive—no lights, no power, nothing. I've been doing some research and understand
