    Lenovo Thinkpad Yoga x1 3rd Generation

    Lenovo Thinkpad Yoga x1 3rd Generation
    machine type model: 20LD0038AU
    system unit serial no: R90RKCWP
    system board serial no: W1KS88K10YS
    Current Bios Version: N25ET68w (1.54) Date: 22/8/24

    i currently have access to the os i can log in and everything but cannot change the bios settings due to supervisor bios password lock. any help with this would be amazing as i have run out of things to try and dont have a reader to create the dump file.

    my apologies if i have missed something... im a new member

      Most ThinkPads from 2012 and older (3rd gen Intel and older) use a 24-series dedicated password ROM. It can often be bypassed during boot by shorting the SDA and SCL pins together
      Other times, flashing the ROM may be required.

            The Yoga x1 3rd Gen has an intel 8th gen CPU.

          Then definitely (because not having any hardware tools at his disposal) the LPC method will be the only way to get rid of the SVP...

            I think this one can be done through BIOS patching.

                Understand the process !
                Read the entire post and watch the videos as a model before acting on the PC.
