I am trying to remove a supervisor password from a Lenovo laptop by patching the BIOS dump. I have successfully read the SPI flash chip (Winbond W25Q128JV) using a CH341A programmer, but I am having trouble modifying the dump correctly.

      My details:
      • Laptop Model: 83ER Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 3 15IAH8; S/n PF3SV3T5
      • BIOS Chip: Winbond W25Q128JV
      • Programmer: CH341A
      • Problem: I cannot boot because of a forgotten supervisor password.

      What I have tried:
      1. I used a CH341A programmer with AsProgrammer to create a full backup of the BIOS (original_bios.bin).
      2. I tried using a Lenovo auto-patcher script, but it crashes (Python exits unexpectedly) when I try to load my dump file.
      3. I also tried opening the dump in AMIBCP, but I couldn't find the exact security settings to modify.

I have attached my original BIOS dump to this post.

      Could someone please help me?
      1. Is there a known working patcher for my specific model?
      2. Could someone experienced take a look at my attached dump and help patch it, or guide me through the manual process?
      3. Any advice on why the auto-patcher might be crashing?

Thank you in advance for your time and help!

**Important:** The forum doesn't allow .bin files, so I renamed it to .txt
Please rename the file from "DUMP_DOINSTAL.txt" back to "DUMP_DOINSTAL.bin" before using.
Please read https://www.badcaps.net/forum/troubl...before-posting and post the laptop serial number. Files can be posted in a zip or rar archive.
