hi, it sounds like you need basic help on how to re-program the BIOS on a PC/laptop ? I was in your position 6 months ago when I bought several -8FC8 locked Dell Latitude laptops on eBay, so here's my experience/advice :
You need to buy a chip programmer device, which you use to read the BIOS contents off your locked PC and store it as a file on your laptop. You can then edit the BIOS file (e.g. using the 8FC8 patcher program from this forum) , and then you use the programmer a second time to write the unlocked BIOS file back to your locked PC.
I bought a T48 programmer off eBay, along with two clips which allow you to physically connect to the two most common sizes of surface-mounted BIOS chip ( WSON8 & SOIC8 ). You'll need to locate the BIOS chip on the Optiplex motherboard to see what size/type of chip it is.
Most forums recommend unsoldering the BIOS chip from the motherboard before reading its contents, but this needs specialist soldering equipment & skills, which I do not have; and I have found on many Dell Latitude laptops the T48 is able to read and write the chips 'in-circuit' , i.e without unsoldering. You just have to remove the motherboard from the laptop/PC, disconnecting the battery AND all peripherals. Again , not sure if this will work on Optiplexes, but I have a couple of Optiplex 9040 micro PCs here, so I may check this weekend if I have time.
YouTube has videos which show how to use the XGecu software which you'll need to load onto your laptop to operate the T48 programmer :

good luck!

P.S. if all the above sounds like a bit much hassle, and you just want to be able to boot your locked PC from its SSD and get on with your life, you have the option of using another PC to install the OS onto that SSD , then physically move the SSD into the Optiplex. If you're using Windows I'm always slightly surprised how well Windows 10 & 11 reconfigure themselves onto different hardware when moving SSDs between laptops/PCs like this.
Of course this method leaves the BIOS locked, so you'll never be able to change BIOS settings, nor ever boot from USB etc. But if you're lucky and the BIOS is already set for UEFI boot, Secure Boot on, etc , then this may save a lot of faffing around with programmers etc ..Comment

I don't think you understand what the 8FC8 patcher does. You need to use an external programmer to back up your BIOS chip
ONLY then post the resulting backup file to have it unlocked, this can't be done by only posting the Service Tag
So get a programmer and read your BIOS chip, Click here > I don't know what is a ProgrammerComment

by BowlineMy question pertains to understanding the control circuity inside a Dell PT434 type battery used in Dell E6400, E6410 and other Dell notebooks?
Does anyone have a circuit diagram for the inside of a Dell PT434 battery and/or a description of how the control lines work to control this battery?
My reason for asking is I have a battery which I cannot get to charge beyond 1% in a Dell E6410 or E6400.
The LED bar graph charge indicator on the battery shows one LED lighted when the info button is pressed.
I have tried multiple different Dell power adapters. My Dell... -

by al_b0sniHey, i bought a Dell Optiplex 5000 8fc8 with chip W25Q128JVSN.
I also used the CH341A programmer but my usb cable (i didnt attach it directly into the pc, i used a cable between) was corrupted. So i made a dump. Then i removed the password but unfortunately the dump had a loose contact so it was corrupted. And i've also overwrited the chip and now i dont have any dump anymore.
Can someone help me? I am stuck since hours and i cannot find any bin file anywhere.
I tried to extract the EXE for BIOS installation from dell and also the rcv file but i didn't manage to do that....-
