I want to add that the laptop is in excellent condition, it has not been used for gaming, graphics processing, or any other heavy work, only for office tasks such as email and office documents. There are no scratches, cracks, or missing seals, and it has not been dropped or exposed to water. Everything was working properly, but I decided to reinstall Windows 11. Let's continue... After seven attempts, the system finally started, and I concluded that the fb14 bios version had been installed and was functioning correctly. I then downloaded the latest fb16 version and decided to install it. After that, my laptop stopped loading the system and showing the postscreen. I can't log in to the bios, it's impossible. The laptop starts up with a black screen. SN: 23250J000488 /Aorus 7 9KF/ Gigabyte GA-X7E rev. 1:0

SPI chip BIOS dump for GIGABYTE X870E AORUS ELITE WIFI7
    by DynaxSC
Hi, I look for an original BIOS dump from a GIGABYTE X870E AORUS ELITE WIFI7 motherboard. It must be a BIOS dump made from a real motherboard, not a stock Gigabyte BIOS download. There is apparently some major difference between a real BIOS image compared to a stock BIOS, as this motherboard does not start at all with a stock BIOS image. The board owner unfortunately did not make a backup from the original BIOS image, so now I have a bricked motherboard which does not want to start POST-ing at all. Although it powers on, but there are no debug codes showing, debug code display is dark, as well...

HP Pavilion Gaming Laptop 15-ec2523nd - Dimm2 slot disabled after corrupt bios repair? Advice requested.
    by Bloodhoundje
    Hi everyone,

I have been doing hardware repair as a hobby for some years now and recently decided to learn about repairing laptops as a fun challenge.

I managed to get my hands on a "HP Pavilion Gaming 15-ec2523nd" notebook that only shows a white power LED and doesnt respond to anything.

After initial testing I concluded the bios seems to be corrupted since all voltages are normal and there are no shorts. HP has a feature for a bios restore from USB with winkey+B for this model. This did not work.

I have desoldered the bios chip (GigaDevice...

Gateway Laptop (gwtn141-10bl) won't post after enabling overclocking from bios
    by george94
I have a laptop which i am trying to fix in which user enabled overclocking from bios and now it does not post.
Laptop with battery only: when power button pressed, power led lights for 10 seconds then turns off
Laptop with charger: white led in the charger and battery is charging, when power button pressed power led lights and it wont turn off

With multimeter i checked and i found out that:
EC chips gets 3.3 volts and it is not shorted (also no shorts on the board too)
Cpu power rail is fluctuating between 0 and 300 milivolts when charger is connected

remove gpu from bios file for Gigabyte A7k1 laptop
    by PCWhoop
    Hi everyone,

    I have a Gigabyte A7 K1 laptop with a faulty dGPU.

To troubleshoot, I disconnected the GPU core voltage (cut off GPU power rail). After doing this, the laptop powers on normally.

However, the BIOS still detects the GPU as faulty. The fan ramps up to maximum speed, and after a short time, the laptop shuts down.

    I have attached:

    - Original BIOS dump
    - Motherboard pictures

    I am looking for:

    1. A modified BIOS with dGPU disabled, or
    2. Any guidance on how to bypass GPU detection in BIOS...
