    Please clean BIOS - HP Envy 15-ds1063cl

    This device will only post if I remove the battery and clear CMOS. Then I get the warning that CMOS was reset. When I choose to continue, it will not boot, just black screen. CPU is warm, power light is on. Pressing power button immediately powers off. Feels like maybe a BIOS issue? Here's the dump file. Can someone review? SN:8CG024309F

                              ​Those guides will help you ID the right bios version and extract it from the update. What the guide doesn`t cover is copying the DMI from the old bios to the new one.Its reltively easy to do with a hex editor.

                                          You can close MPM with BCU but first,in the config.txt file is there a section for Keyboard Type . Is the keyboard US qwerty, is the OS language set to US english

                                              Language is set to English. For keyboard, there is no option for US qwerty. See image attached.

                                                      That broke it again Upon issuing the /setconfig command, I got a success message in green, indicating that a reboot or shutdown was necessary. Upon restart, The fans engage for about 2 seconds, cpu gets warm, caps lock key is functioning correctly, but screen is black. The power button light is on as well as the charging light. If I press the power button, the power light immediately turns off and the cpu begins to cool. This machine seems to run perfectly fine until I /setconfig.

                                                                  Hi everyone,

                                                                  I'm trying to modify my BIOS to unlock the advanced menus and unlock the processor power limits. The first thing I have tried is reading the BIOS from the laptop and opening it up in amibcp, and changing the advanced menu to User. However, no matter what tiny change I make to the BIOS, when I flash it back to the laptop with a programmer it says there is corruption and the BIOS needs to be recovered.

                                                                  I've also tried rolling back the BIOS to an older version. I made the mistake of updating to the latest version and now I cannot even edit the CFG and OC...

                                                                  Hi, my laptop wont boot at all
                                                                  With original bios no POST, only LED lights
                                                                  With alternative BIOS from model TP500LN (flashed via programmer) the notebook works again
                                                                  Some issues
                                                                  A- with bios from 500LN, it won't update from bios of model 500LA (from 500LN v203 to 500LA v300)
                                                                  B- If updated from 500LN version 203 to 300, the battery stops being recognized

                                                                  Things I tried
