    Lenovo Legion PRO 5 16IRX8, i9+RTX4070

Hi masters, anyone can help me with BIOS? Long story short, spilled unit, did not start at all. Found two burned resistors in 3.3/5V step down controler. Now unit start, but it takes 30-40 second to get a picture and than FANs start run at full speed and turn off after 20 seconds, so could be ME corrupted...

    Lenovo Legion PRO 5 16IRX8
    S/N: PF4MN0RM
    Board: NM-F091

    i9-13th + RTX 4070

Both dumps attached. I tried to clean, but I am not getting picture at all, even after minute.

There is no boardview and schematic, so would like to try BIOS first, BIOS area has been spilled anyway.

    Thanks for any help.

Same issue bro, take 1 minute to get picture, after that FANs at full speed, than goes off. In your files, ME region is cleaned? If so, I have to look for hardware failure.

Hello! Need help with laptop repair. I am an amateur myself, sometimes I repaired electronics for myself. In general, the laptop is new, on the 13th generation of Intel and graphics 40xx. A drop of liquid leaked through the keyboard, and as I understand it, it rotted away from the microcircuit. I got out my hair dryer to lift the microcircuit and try to solder it, but it does not work. And I can not find such a microcircuit to buy. Can you help? Thank you

Hello everyone! I soldered the chip, but the laptop does not boot. When I press the button, everything starts working, all voltages rise, the keyboard backlight switches, but there is no image. You can turn it off by long pressing. I tried to make a flash drive with BIOS, but in recovery mode nothing happens, the power light blinks orange, but there are no sound signals. I have a programmer, and I can solder, but the BIOS downloaded from the official site in the unpacked folder weighs 24 megabytes, and besides, there are two BIOS chips on the board. Can someone make two BIOS files? Thanks!

I haven't taken the dump yet, I tried but I didn't find a BIOS chip like mine in the list. I had to leave for work for a few days, when I come back I'll try again. I hoped that I could restore the BIOS using a flash drive. Thanks 🙏

Hello! Thank you very much for your help! It's probably not the BIOS. Before you did it for me, I tried it myself, but with what I did, it got worse. The keyboard backlight stopped working, after pressing the power button, it lit up for a few seconds, and cyclically went out and lit up. When I flashed your BIOS, the laptop started to start up as before. The keyboard backlight worked, the fans started to spin over time when the cooling heated up. But it doesn't initialize completely. Also, when I tried to find it by the chip marking in the program, I didn't find it. It didn't find the chip automatically, and it didn't find it manually either. I read and flashed it with similar markings. They are both 3 volts.
                                I have EZP2023 and HC341.

( i lost GPU bios extracted to motherboard
The vBios is available at Lenovo support - https://pcsupport.lenovo.com/us/en/p...7-265289D96F6F

                                    https://download.lenovo.com/consumer...ios_update.zip

Extract the exe from the zip file ,if the laptop is booting from uma just run the exe. If not then extract using the command line. Make a new folder on your C: drive called TDK ,put the exe into that folder ,run the command as Admin

                                    cd C:\TDK

                                    legion_y9000p_irx8_rtx4070_vbios_update.exe /ext

The rom file Y780-RPL_GN21-X6_Base55W_Max140W_0010_775_2_gsync__95.06.1E.00.98_PP.rom can be padded out with FF`s to whatever the chip size is using a hex editor. What size is the chip ?

Edit: It should be padded with zero`s 00 .

                                    .

The laptop powers on briefly and then shuts down.
After checking all voltages on the motherboard and confirming they were fine, I suspected a BIOS issue.

Unfortunately, during the BIOS read process, I mistakenly clicked "Erase" and ended up overwriting the GPU BIOS.
