Where can I buy a cable with one end USB type B and the other end a pen/stift?
For shorting are you holding the pin on GND already when starting up the laptop and then releasing it at a certain moment while keep pressing F1. It is not clear to me when exactly releasing the pen?
I suppose it doesn't matter to use GND1 or GND2?

wait 1-2 seconds after turning on or wait for the backlight.
make the contact, wait 1or2 sec, release.and, press f1

Sometimes you may get a fan error which turns off the PC, sometimes you can bypass it by pressing Esc.
other error may occur bad data /uuid /serial etc..this is good sign
just the timming doesn't is not good

The method depends on the Ec (timings are different), it takes several attempts before you succeed and understand.

For making the cable yourself. I do not known what to do.
Can I take for example the following piece and just take the red cable of it and connect the red wire (+5V) to a probe? And cutting off the 3 other cables?

Thats overkill, you can just use a piece of wire or even tweazers

When looking at Espi and lpc, the big difference Was the voltage.. 3.3 for lpc and 1.8 for espi..

So feeding 5v might be the only issue regarding mec1500 and 1700(i have 1722..)

So, update tomorrow with 1.8v feed..

                                    Sleep now..
