Can anyone please, help me remove bios admin password on a laptop HP Zbook Power G8 with i7 11800H and Quadro T600
I try with RCUnlocker v1 - but say: Wrong Chip
Also try wiht HPUnlocker v1 - but after that - there's no post on display, fans don't spin, and there's no power.

With this bios, the laptop does not start. The fans are not spinning. The charging light blinks 10 times and does not work.
The laptop has two bios chips. Both have the same inscriptions, there is no chip on the other side of the bottom.
Do both chips need to be rewritten?Comment

I'm having same problem on an elitebook 850 G8. I'm pretty sure the solder job isn't good, I cannot seem to keep the chip in place and the pads being minimal (as opposed to the pads of the other BIOS chip) and the chip being legless aren't helping. I always seem to blow the chip off-center or the chip doesn't seem level causing some of the pads to not make contact. Any tips keeping the chip to stay on the spot it should be? superglue or heat resistant tape?Comment

I'm trying to troubleshoot a Microsoft Surface Pro (5th gen) model 1796 that won't power on. Motherboard model is M1007506-015. My priority is retrieving data, but the SSD is integrated so it looks like if I can't repair it it'll need to go to a data recovery company. I've done a little basic board repair before, but nothing this advanced until now. So please forgive my ignorance in advance. 😅
I found the boardview for this laptop in the forums here, and am able to open it on my PC with FlexBV.

Hi All,
I have gone through all the postings about what I could find for the HP ZBook Power G9 to reset the BIOS password with help from RC Unlocker. I bought this unit from eBay and while it's a recent build (August 2023), it has definitely seen much better days (bent case, beat up top cover and a messed up RTX A2000 - somebody definitely went to town on it).
HP tells me that they will charge me nearly the price of the unit (for the motherboard) if they find so much as a BIOS password set on it despite the fact that the unit boots without entering any password.

Hello everyone, I come here to tell you my problem regarding the power-on password. It is not a bios reset demand, and i can't have any access to windows. This is the bios and power-on password that is blocking all other things.
My Omen 15-dh0052nf purchased second-hand was configured with the bios password upon purchase (very simple password :P ).
Having decided to sell it in order to get something more powerful, I reset all BIOS settings and set a blank administrator password. But the power-on password cannot be changed to a blank one so I let the actual password set.... -

LAPTOP model: ASUS K56CB (i7-3537u cpu)
BIOS POST took a long time, more than 30 seconds, it was never like this before. I decided to flash the bios using AFUDOS.exe.
I downloaded the original BIOS file from Asus site ver205. I used RUFUS to create a boot-able USB flash having this command in AUTOEXEC.BAT:
AFUDOS.exe BIOS.ROM /GAN
It read the bios then gave the warning about writing to bios may ruin it. I confirmed and as soon as I pressed the enter key the power went out and it doesn't power on anymore. Even the battery power light does not turn...
