Dell Latitude 3520 help with bios build/repair

Hello everyone, i got Dell Latitude 3520 with admin pass, i used the "BadCaps 8FC8 Patcher" and no more admin pass, now the step to enter Service Tag is an issue, no stickers on device that has it, also before doing bios changes, i could not get into bios to take a pic of service tag, so with my original bios backup, can someone maybe help me find it please. btw i tried the tool on github "DellBIOSTools" but all tags it gave me are wrong.

its the Lock XXXXXXXX-8FC8 that XXXX is your service Tag, check the picture bellow

post merged...next time look for a thread with the name and model, motherboard model of the laptop, and post there, if you can't find it, then make a new thread..

2. click Security menu, (deactivate Absolute Computrace).
3. click Service Tag Settings, (enter old or new Service Tag).

hi friend sorry im new in this and i have the exact same problem with my dell inspiron 3520 i5 12th gen, how i can install this bios?? i have to unmount the bios chip??

The bios chip must be unsoldered from the board before writing or reading..
do not use the clip, you may have errors..if you do not have anything to unsolder it with,
solder wires between the programmer and the bios chip..

This Latitude 3420/3520 computer is so unpredictable. I have a similar situation. Latitude 3520 powers on, fan spins, the cpu warms up but no image to the screen. I have tried many bios files and the best I was able to do is the computer doing the screen test with various colors flashing.

What worked for me was the bin from a Latitude 3420 computer with an i7 processor. I am aware it has a different service tag# embedded into it but try it to see if this works for you. By the way, both computers' bios chip is XMC 25RH256CXIQ

Hello,

tried the bios works perfectly.
You are correct it worked only on locked bios before maybe the System detects that the entries have changed on some important offsets or else.
Strange...
But thanks it works again!
How do you build a new BIOS?
Like is there a programm for it or what?

Had tried it now.
Laptop fans run from low to high then shutting off and restarting.
Sometimes it is giving backlight for 5 seconds and shuts off or showing me red,white,black,green screen and shuts off.
Any Idea?

I had the same yesterday with a Dell 3420 notebook with 8fC8 password after the modifying with 00FDAA 00FCAA didn't want to start anymore.
It worked with locked BIOS.
I built a new BIOS and there was a very strange behavior with the 3 series again.
I also had the same BIOS version with 1.32.1
