          Hello!

          I have a BIOS request.
I need a 'virgin' BIOS for the Dell G5 SE 5505.
          Motherboard model:
          Selek MLK AMD
          19802-1
          FGRDN$JA.
          Service tag 2MJDB63

I have tried both BIOSes posted in this thread, but they don't work for me - I get a black screen and status led blinks 2 red + 5 white (Invalid memory).
I tried extracting the BIOS from a dell package, but did not succeed.

Background: Decided to update BIOS from 1.7.0 to 1.20.0. The update failed and my PC did not start.
I used a CH341a to erase all data on the BIOS chip and tried several BIOSes that all gave me the "Invalid memory installed" error at boot.

Since I wiped my BIOS chip, I think I need what is refered to as a 'virgin' BIOS?

Any help to revive my computer will be greatly appreciated.

          Kind regards
          / Lalle

                Many thanks for this!
                I tried BIOS-UEFI [0x00554E03-0x01554E03].bin
Initial testing (motherboard on my desktop, nothing except RAM connected) gets past the invalid memory at least, so it seems good so far.
I will report back after more extensive testing.

Thank you, I really appreciate it!

                    Hello together,

i'm having the exactly same problem with a friends G5 SE 5505.
He told me, that he updated Bios/ UEFI and after that the 2,5 LED status appeard.
I'm not able to flash the BIOS with a USB Stick.

The Dell Web Page says, that you have to press ESC + CTRL and plug in the power cabel to flash Bios, but its not working. Display stays black and the LED status is blinking.

I taked out the cmos battery and unplugged the battery power cabel, pressed the power button for 30 sec to reset the Bios, but still not working.

                    Service Tag is: DPNWB63

                    Do you need more informations?
Would be great if you can help me and my friend.

                    Best regards
                    Felix

Hi all. A few months ago, Dell kept auto installing BIOS version 1.21.0 that produced a BSOD overwriting a working 1.20.0, thus bricking my system. The CH341a USB Programmer was able to detect the chip GD25Q8OCSIG (8 Mb) and erase it, but I am having problems getting a decent BIOS dump. Have tried the .bin files from the post of Selek AMD 19802-1 FGRDN$JA, but the size is 16,384 Kb, which is larger then the chip creating an error, "the data to write is bigger than the chip size."

Does anyone have a working BIOS for this system? Latest version is 1.23.0. Will I have to inject any code to make it work properly? Thanks
