Go to the HP support site,enter the laptop serial number,download the bios update.Run the exe ,it will give an option to update,make a recovery drive or copy to a location.If you choose the copy option all of the bios that are included within the exe are decrypted and saved to the location you chose.Sometimes there are multiple bios included in the update,they are not all for the same machine/model.Finding out which of the bios is the right one for your machine is the next step by looking at your backup with a hex editor to see if any of the new bios names match with the names in your backup.Originally posted by pooya_pm View Post
