It's been mentioned many times - use the forum search engine, and read some threads before asking questions.

Use a search bar and search your model number
than post your dump with actual issue and serial number/required details as per rule

                Hello my friend

I think I did something wrong because I removed the eprom that is on the other side of the flash board and now it only flashes the light on the side and when it starts up the capslock turns on and turns off

And one question, can I change the Bios, directly through Winduos, using hex, or do I need to make changes with the bios chip connected?

Flash back the unlocked dump, normally the laptop would start just fine and counting (manufacturing mode) then try using BCU again
If it doens't work then you have probably damaged the eprom IC with heat, in that case try replacing the BIOS chip

                                        Hey guys,

Hope you all are doing well. I come here from Win-Raid because I am having issues disabling Flash Protection Range Registers so I can flash my BIOS from within Windows using Intel's IFW tool/using flashrom within Linux, however I cannot due to the above mentioned error.

Here is my thread on Win-Raid detailing the whole process I went through: https://winraid.level1techs.com/t/re...h-gen/95478/27

Essentially I managed to boot into Windows while shorting PINs 1+5 of my audio chip to disable the HAP bit...

Dell Optiplex 7010 micro bad BIOS flash?

                                        Hi folks,

I got a Dell Optiplex 7010 micro PC (Exact Model) with 8FC8 BIOS and locked out admin password. I attempted to remove the password by patching the BIOS via info from this thread: https://www.badcaps.net/forum/troubl...ssword-patcher
After flashing the patched the BIOS, the PC is unresponsive with a solid AMBER power LED (not documented in manual anywhere)

                                        Steps I took:
                                        1. Read BIOS with CH341a, verified hash twice
                                        2. Patched
                                        ...

Is it okay to flash stock bios onto the motherboard's BIOS?

                                        Hi there,
                                        I have a 14" Lenovo Laptop (Flex 5 14ALC05) which has a boot issue.
The little LED on the power button is flashing slowly and nothing happen.
This unit do not have any BIOS button cell battery so I tried many times draining the power but it is still not powering on.

So I decided to flash the BIOS using a cheap programmer.
And I was successfully able to read the content (exactly 16MB file) which BTW is a WINBOND 74m12jwsiq (according to the package inscription - but detected as W25Q128FW in the software - IMSProg on Linux)

                                        I also...

Request: SPI Flash BIOS Dump (Winbond 25Q128) for Dahua NVR4216-4KS2

                                        Hello,

I am trying to repair a Dahua NVR4216-4KS2 that is not booting.
The main BIOS/firmware is stored in an SPI flash EEPROM (Winbond 25Q128, labeled as U130 on the PCB).

I have a CH341A programmer and I already attempted the following steps:
                                        1. Identified the correct chip (W25Q128, 3.3V SPI flash).
                                        2. Tried to read the contents with CH341A Programmer software. The dump seems corrupted and I often get the error: “Chip with the contents are in disagreement.”
                                        3. Compared several chip type selections (24Cxx and 25Qxx families) to confirm it is indeed a 25 series SPI
