Thanks, I've tried to flash the file, but still the laptop doesn't work. When I press turn-on button, the power light blinks 15 times and nothing happens...

Sorry, I made a mistake and misread, you were replying above to another post. Turns out I flashed a bios that was meant for someone else )

But to answer your question, yes, everything worked with the original firmware

Hello my friend! Worked like a charm!!! But still... something strange happens. When I try to reset the security system (I do that always after unlocking a 16MB BIOS) the password is required. I can't set a new password because it's asking me for the old one. Anyway, the BIOS works and I can access it, but can't change anything in the security tab. For me that's good enough 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

HP EliteBook 650 G9 has the same BID on HP EliteBook 640 G9 U75 and U86. this bios from 640 G9 should work just change the product name.
for unlocking use this bios in my post # 441 ,don't ask too many questions just do it.

Hello everyone, I come here to tell you my problem regarding the power-on password. It is not a bios reset demand, and i can't have any access to windows. This is the bios and power-on password that is blocking all other things.

My Omen 15-dh0052nf purchased second-hand was configured with the bios password upon purchase (very simple password :P ).

Having decided to sell it in order to get something more powerful, I reset all BIOS settings and set a blank administrator password. But the power-on password cannot be changed to a blank one so I let the actual password set....

The batch from which the password was removed works correctly but... after some time, the BIOS password is set again, I reprogrammed the batch with the removed password, it's ok, there is no password, I set my password, ok, I can enter the BIOS with my password but...

                                  1. I bought this laptop from flea market, and the seller said that he had never set a password, however here is a password required when pressing F2 to enter BIOS.
                                  2. And after entering incorrrect password 3 times, there is no any useful information like "recovery code"

In the pictures the laptop is running windows 10. I contacted the seller and asked a few questions about upgradability and if it has a bios password on it. He confirmed it has a bios password. I searched through the forum, I found a guide regarding removing the bios password using the autopatcher, I also found a thread with the e495 where people requested help with unlocking the bios password.
