    Clean me bios for acer an517-52-54pm

    Hi all , today i replaced a pch on this acer laptop, when i boot the computer and want to re-install windows it crash during installation , after searching online i need to update the me region on the bios.

    I checked a lot of website who said to download the intel me repository i do

    i downloaded intel ME/TXT software but impossible to update the Me region , someone can do that on my bios file?and gave me some advice how to do in the future?

              Hi,

              My daughter has accidentally managed to kill her Acer gaming desktop it has a blank screen after updating and when you press the power button the fans spin, light comes on and it makes 1 long and 1 short beep and no attempt to boot.

              All basic troubleshooting has been done we replaced CPU, GPU and RAM from a working machine and no joy, I also noticed a post on here with the same issue and it was the BIOS. I am pretty sure also because it was doing a BIOS update that stopped it working, she knocked the keyboard out by accident during the update and the screen just went...

              Edit: apologies, I only need help with the DMI info.. I thought the ME region would need attention in order to recover from bricked state but maybe I misunderstood.

              Im a novice to this experience but in short, I performed a backlash from the latest and final bios firmware BHCN45WW to BHCN26WW hoping that would solve an issue with keyboard functionality failing after an update. Ended up hanging during flash process and then system would no longer POST on reboot.

              USB recovery process didn't seem to take. So today I successfully managed to get the BIOS dump from my machine...

              Symptoms: Laptop powers on but no picture on screen.

              I have already checked voltages and all is present. I have checked resistance on the coils to see if the chipset or cpu might be shorted. All resistances look normal.
