always when you make a bios request post the original bios of the laptop even if it is corrupted..Due to a lack of donations, server free space at a critical level, and possible closure of Bios Requests all donations are welcome, click:

yes friend, I know I have to, but in this case they handed me the spi memory and it was erased. the laptop has all the voltages ok, supposedly they tried to reprogram the bios with an old programmer and the job didn't go well. What do you recommend I do in this situation?Comment

Ok, I removed the black plastic cover that protects the board, also the one that comes under the RAM memory, there is no white label, just a code printed on the board, I don't know if it will helpComment

by razor_amdWith ASUS, not everything is quite so simple. I will show you my way. It may be longer or harder but it is the right way to do it in my humble opinion.
For example, you can have 3 similar ASUS motherboards, all being the same model, all of which will have different BIOS versions.
I will give you an example and my version of preparing BIOS from ASUS website and in the process I am always cleaning Intel ME while doing it so you have fully cleaned BIOS, no DMI data, no password, nothing.
This is the picture of 3 similar ASUS motherboards, all of them being X555LD...-

by alphabettyHello first post!
Ok so after an (ASUSTek) optional Windows update, my old ASUS E403NA laptop rebooted and froze in the BIOS menu screen and was unresponsive so after about 30 mins I powered off and back on again. Now i just get a power LED and a black screen, I have tried all the basic suggestions and all the suggestions on the ASUS site, spoke to ASUS support who said I will need to pay for an RMA.
The laptop is worth €50 so I won't be doing the RMA at god knows what price.
So I have seen some videos where people have reprogrammed the BIOS...03-07-2024, 08:31 AM -

The computer shut down during a bios update and went into a boot loop. I've been able to backup the bios and flash a new bios (from the asus website, the ez flash update) using a SPI programmer. I got it to the point where it'll stay on for a few minutes before restarting and going into a boot loop that gets shorter and shorter.
I've been able to factory reset it, but once I unlock the laptop and get to the desktop screen - the bootloop...-

by vixeko_They asked me to change the HDD to an SSD on this Asus laptop, in case the laptop already had problems such as it not turning on every time and the battery charge lasting very little.
and perform the task successfully and clone the data from the hdd to the new ssd
I managed to start windows on the ssd and everything was normal so I decided to restart it to measure the startup speed and when I did that instead of starting windows the laptop sent me to the bios
I exited the bios to continue to windows but when the laptop turned off it did not turn on again, it was strange but... - Loading...
