I got there in the end, I have read the ITE chip with svod with 256 KB config, I erased the chip powered off for a wile like with the t490
then programmed the chip again. the password is still there.

I need help to edit the ITE dump removing the password please or have I missed something.

Is there anyone that can help, Thanks.

                                            Hello everyone,

I am attempting a repair on a Lenovo ThinkPad Yoga 11e that is currently stuck at boot with the error: "0275 error CMS" even after setup new bios battery and will not allow me to enter the BIOS/Setup.

This is a critical issue that I believe requires flashing the BIOS chip directly using a programmer (e.g., CH341A/RT809H), as standard software updates or resets are not possible.

I have opened the laptop and identified the main BIOS chip...

I know this is more for laptop help, but a Lenovo Legion T5-28IMB05 Desktop (Lenovo) - Type 90NC was dropped in my lap and it appears to have a BIOS supervisor password I cannot remove.

I have tried the clear CMOS and pulled the battery with no luck. I'm hoping its in the BIOS and not the Nuvoton NCT6686D.

If someone can look at the BIOS and see if they can help me remove the password I would greatly appreciate it. Or confirm the password is in the Nuvoton which I guess I wont be able to defeat it.

Lenovo ThinkStation P520 BIOS file needed
                                            by Forest79
                                            Hello,

I got a Lenovo ThinkStation P520 (Type 30BF) from a friend, asking me for a repair. Windows 11 offered a firmware upgrade as an optional update, and it failed.
The emergency flash procedure from the hardware manual has also failed. So, I asked an acquaintance with better skills to flash the BIOS directly.

However, the chip (a Macronix MX25L25673GMI-08G) has a size of 32 MB, and the BIOS file from the Lenovo website (extracted with UEFITool) has a little more than 16 MB. Thus, the software my acquaintance used (SiberiaProg v1.45, with a CH341A Programmer)...

                                            Lenovo FT491/FX390 (NM-B891 REV 2.0) – BIOS password removal/clean request

                                            Hi everyone,

I have a Lenovo FT491/FX390 (motherboard NM-B891 REV 2.0) with a BIOS password that I can’t bypass. I’ve tried the usual methods (CMOS reset, jumper, etc.), but the password persists.

                                            What I need:
                                            • A clean BIOS dump (without password) for this specific model.
                                            • Or, if possible, help to remove the password from my current BIOS dump.

                                            What I can provide:
                                            • A full BIOS dump (W25Q80dv or similar) if someone can guide me on how to extract it safely with an RT809HSE.
                                            • Any additional info or photos of the board if needed.

I know the community has tools...

                                            Hello,

I need help removing Supervisor Password (SVP) from a Lenovo Yoga 9 14IAP7.

                                            Laptop details:
                                            • Model: Lenovo Yoga 9 14IAP7
                                            • MTM: 82LU0080PB
                                            • BIOS version: HNCN51WW
                                            • Platform: Alder Lake / InsydeH2O

                                            SPI chips on board:
                                            • W25Q128JVSN (main BIOS, 16 MB)
                                            • W25Q80DVSIG (possible EC/security firmware)
                                            • W25R64JVSIN (Intel IFWI/CSE region)

I already dumped all chips using CH341A + NeoProgrammer.

                                            Attempts already made:
                                            • NVRAM clear on W25Q128 -> black screen / no POST
                                            • Surgical setup variable patch -> black screen
                                            • Original BIOS restored
                                            ...
