Hello, i just noticed the "OA3 ID" and "Preinstalled OS License" vanished after the bios flash, when installing a fresh copy of windows 11 it asks for a license key (before it didn't). Also the OA2 is now at "No" instead of "Yes". Is there a way to bring it back? I have a photo of the numbers that were under "Preinstalled OS License" and "OA3 ID".Comment

Read again my post. i buy this laptop whitout any bios chip. So , phisicaly dont have any bios chip on motherboard.
I found here on this site one bios who start the moterboard , i can go in bios setup , but run very very slow.Comment

Hi, unfortunately me too did NVRAM clearing while Hackintoshing and so bricked my Thinkpad L590.
Already been able to restore/flash BIOS (CH341A & AsProgrammer) with the outimage.bin.zip (13.76 MB) volinakis did so kindly posted .. many thanks for it
Currently now only missing OA3 and preinstalled OS Licenses .. as those been wiped out from BIOS settings
Luckily did record of them prior - Also believe have located those details from original bios bin file & done some copying over to outimage bin file
Preinstalled OS License SDK0J40697 WIN .. seems common to many other so not specific to my laptop & win lic
OA3 ID < 13 digit number > ... seems specific ID of my laptop maybe embedded authorize for Windows license
So have copied (from the original dump) and added those LIC and OA3 details to outimage bin file (w Hex editor) .. so ready to test if it would do the trick
= Copied two sections having a.) LIC and b.) LIC + OA3 key + full Win Lic long format (XXXXX-XXXXX .. of 5x 5digits) .. visible
Questions pls help me
1.) How to insert ONLY those missing BIOS lic details ? Wonder if safe & easy way existing like with Lenovo tools / Win PowerShell commands
2.) Pls guide how bin file copy and editing should be done .. if not correct = Are any other specifics to be copied etc..

looking for a fully extracted (by programmer) Bios for a Dell Inspiron 17 (7786) v.1.09 or newer, so I can compare it with my own bios to check for corruption.

Hi all,
as subject line says, I have a laptop that reboots after 30 minutes. Investigation leads me to believe that is due to intel ME as it happens everytime after 30 minute from boot, it just turns off, no overheating, nothing weird.

Hi, my laptop wont boot at all
With original bios no POST, only LED lights
With alternative BIOS from model TP500LN (flashed via programmer) the notebook works again
Some issues
A- with bios from 500LN, it won't update from bios of model 500LA (from 500LN v203 to 500LA v300)
B- If updated from 500LN version 203 to 300, the battery stops being recognized

Hello, I have an old Dell G3 3579 (ST: 2WQ7LP2-8FC8) with a newer 8FC8 BIOS password. I have successfully attached to the flash chip (W25Q128JVSQ) on the motherboard with a CH341A programmer and made several modifications using Intel FIT (e.g., allow software SPI write) without bricking. I was also able to boot to a modified GRUB shell where I attempted to edit many BIOS security related options like BIOS Guard/Lock, Flash Signature Override, ME FW Image Re-Flash, etc.
Unfortunately, some of these modifications like to Intel BIOS Guard failed because it is fused into the PCH. Also,... -

I have been doing hardware repair as a hobby for some years now and recently decided to learn about repairing laptops as a fun challenge.
I managed to get my hands on a "HP Pavilion Gaming 15-ec2523nd" notebook that only shows a white power LED and doesnt respond to anything.
After initial testing I concluded the bios seems to be corrupted since all voltages are normal and there are no shorts. HP has a feature for a bios restore from USB with winkey+B for this model. This did not work.
