Hi dear friends
I have a dell e6430 that works perfect with ac adapter (ac adapter is detected correctly in bios) and also works on battery
But when battery is installed the charger cuts out when you plug it in
I disassembled it and found out the charging circuit sends adapter voltage directly to the battery
By visual inspecting i discovered the cd3301b ic is burnt
I removed that and problem is still there
I found a couple of videos for bypassing the ic but not exactly on my motherboard and the ic isnt available on the market to replace it
I guess its for controlling the charging circuit between two batteries of the machine (its just my guess)
So is there any way to bypass that ic if i only want to work with just the primary battery?
I really appreciate any help
Thank you very much
