Macbook Air A1466 2013 reboot and kernel panic

    Hello,

I currently have a Macbook Air A1466 which has constant reboots or kernel panics without ever wanting to start.
If I boot from a USB installation drive, everything is fine but when I run a new system installation on a new drive or external drive, it freezes after a while. I was able to detect a small artifact on the screen during the freeze but I'm not sure if it's specific.
I measured some voltages on the motherboard and I could see that the 1.8V fell to 0V during the reboot but maybe this is normal? The other voltages (5V, 3V, 16V if I'm not mistaken) are ok and do not vary on reboot.

I changed the battery to test although I don't see the point...

It's a bit vague I imagine but have you ever experienced this kind of case and do you have a lead to start the investigation please?

    Thank you very much

I did repair same model last week. Not related to your problem but have that board in my head. From what you describe if this was regular PC or latop i would test RAM and CPU.

Its not an easy FIX. I dunno about bootable usb with such testing soft for macs.

Indeed, it makes you think of a RAM or GPU problem, but on these models, everything is welded.
On the other hand, I had a big surprise at the back of the card, a lot of resistors had burned, so I changed everything but that didn't correct the fault...

That's corrosion. Check all pads/via's in that area for continuity to other nets using the boardview.

For sure It's done with bordview and schematic.
A pad disappeared with the corrosion, so I made a bridge with a resistance wire to another one following the diagram. I don't know if it's good to do that but anyway, the problem doesn't seem to come from there in the end...

Macbook Pro 16" A2141 screen artefacts, kernel panic
            by sofles
            Hi there.

I have Macbook Pro 16" 2019, model number A2141, motherboard number 820-01700. I have some problem with dedicated graphic card. When Macbook switches to dedicated GPU it is getting instantly hot and starts to show glitches on screen, then it freezes (trackpad is not clicking anymore) and shuts down.
I tried to reinstall MacOS But it was a pain, it started to show glitches in middle of installation and I could not finish it. I only was able to reinstall MacOS when I put Macbook outside (it is winter and -2 Celcius).

Now situation looks like this, If...

Macbook Air 2013 820-3437 OSx Frozen and Kernel Panic Missing ME
            by Wachenaggo
I got 2013 820-3437 that can't boot completely onto OSx and can load EFI ASD BUT can't on OS ASD and it gives this kernel panic error FAILURE missing ME. I already check ME disable strap HDA_SDOUT_R is low

Also before I reflash the bios I was able to boot osx 10.9 maverick SSD from another client. But when I install a fresh maverick it is frozen.

I already reflash bios using ch341 with clean me provided by piernov and 2informaticos then I even make my own using piernov's guide. some of those BIOS are boot looping the system.

            I also manage to damage...

MacBook Pro A2141 - macOS Kernel Panic
            by prw07
Mac crashes and restarts with kernel panic. No water damage on board. Board is clean. Memtest86 showing no errors. The installation Ventura or Sonoma is successful, but after 5-10 minutes of operation, the accident occurs again. Did a DFU restore and revive, twice with success and successfully reinstalled Sonoma. After 5 minutes of work Mac crashes with Kernel Panic. Apple Diagnostic (AHT) does not find errors.
How to localize the problem ?

            A1990 Constant Kernel Panic: AMDFramebufferVIB::setPowerState
            by ronaldopdias
Hi, I have an A1990, i9 & Radeon 560X. Before it was freezing every few seconds, almost as if failing SSD, even on external macOS installation. I have tried a clean reinstall, revive + restore T2 firmware and it now works fine, other than it seems to kernel panic after some time in sleep.

Below is the kernel panic log, its similar to a lot of posts online for the same model, with no comments on how to fix the issue, and whether its firmware related or an LB issue. Most seemed to happen running Catalina but I am on the latest version of macOS Ventura....

            Philips QFU1.1 Kernel Panic
            by Beeldbuisje
Typical issues of a QFU chassis: doesn't start sometimes, sometimes nothing after some hours etc.
When not starting, this thing gives a Kernel panic when logging.

So first things first: reballing of the Fusion, same behavior. Tried a NAND from a working SSB from exactly the same tv (40PFL8007K/12), the same Kernel panic.

I know too little from a Linux system to interpret this error. Could a Linux professional give me some help pls.
When I log the working SSB, I've got exactly the same till the Kernel Panic.
