    hp DA0R23MB6D1 doesnt turn on

    The motherboard does not turn on.
    I use a wall power meter to check the power consumption.

    I plug dc jack without battery, 0.9W, white led turns on.
    Push power button, drop to 0.6W, pu3 wakes and it outputs +5vs5 and +3vs5 and it's LDO are ok. Also i stress test the +5vs5 and +3vs5 lines and they withstand many amperes.
    PU3 replaced, same results.

    HWPG is pulled down from something, i checked all IC that connect with HWPG and they act normally. One by one i injected them their EN signal and they output power.
    I tried to inject 3.3v at HWPG line and it keeps low, it resists at 600ma. (also the machine does not wake after this, no fan)

    I don't know if some ic pulls HWPG low for a correct reason, i cant think why because they all work good if they receive EN.

    I dont have MAINON and SUSON, when i inject 3.3v at them, most of power IC outputs power but no fan spin and the total consumption is around 2-3w so CPU did not wake.
    U5 sees low HWPG, so it logical not to output MAINON and SUSON.

    Without cpu it have the same results. Without RAM the same results. Motherboard is naked, no wifi card, no disk, nothing connected.

    I'm out of ideas, can anyone suggest something?

      Bad news, i soft heated (70C 20sec) u32(chipset) and motherboard turned on.

          Hello,

          I have re-soldered the loose pins on the RAM slot which is a common fault on these models..

          It charges and turns on the power LED but is missing several voltages like RAM and CPU do not come up which I believe is due to MAINON & SUSON being missing to turn these supplies on..

          What I am un-sure of is what is the ITC chip waiting for to send out these signals, what are the requirements?
          I have checked these lines in diode mode and they seam normal -> 600.

          I have checked to see if they come on for even a fraction of a second...

          I got this motherboard from HP that wouldn't turn on, after testing it, turns out that the more accurate description would be that the power LED is flickering and it won't display anything, i got some backstory from this board, it wouldn't output video and another technician tried to reseat the LVDS cable with the laptop on hoping it would work, all it did was fry both the display and motherboard, magic smoke was released from the screen and cable, i thought the PCH was probably killed and went full shorted, i tested the PWM and it outputs a power good signal and no fault, but it quickly falls,...

          Hi, I'm quite new to this, I am trying to debug a faulty motherboard (DAY31AMB6C0). There was a fault in the DC input circuit with a faulty TVS diode after the first MOSFET shorting the VAD rail to ground. I was able to clear that fault by removing the diode and now the input section seems to be working correctly and I get the V3PCU power rail.

          But trying to start the board still fails, I put some RAM in it and shorted the power button to start it up but it only blinks the power LED in the DC jack assembly 3 times. Maybe the AC detect circuit is broken? Or is this more likely to be...

          symptoms is when power button pressed power LED turns on then off immediately. when i am repairing acer laptop motherboard all power are ok until i reached MAINON signal which shows short to GND which enables almost all PWM ICes .i checked it on SIO but here it also shorted to GND.
