Hello all... I was wondering if replacing the EFI chip can remove an MDM enrollment if the chip is programmed with a different serial number. Basically I want to program a serial from a junk board to it and install it to a board that currently has MDM locked to it. It is linked to the serial number is it not? Has anyone tried it and did it work or not? If it didn't work please tell me why. Thank you!

by DannyxGood day folks. I got a project on hand and would like some thoughts on whether it's possible to achieve, albeit impractical. You know me - I like to over-complicate stuff
The setup: I got a Paradox EVO192 alarm panel, a serial-to-ethernet adapter and an official PCS250 GSM communicator.
The task (TL/DR): connecting both the ethernet adapter AND the communicator to the single serial port of the Paradox panel. Connecting their TX/RX lines in parallel the data would get all messed up. At the very most, I THINK I could parallel the RX pins of the ethernet adapter... -
by baletakHi,
had T490 with faulty bios chip. Bought chip out of ebay and soldered on. Laptop starts and works however serial numbers of laptop and motherboard do not match.
I have updated laptop model number.
1) I did not find the way to update laptop serial number - I have this one.
2) I dont know where to get my motherboard serial number and how to update it. Is it somewhere physically on the mainboard? How do I update it?
Hope to find someone to help me with this as I am hitting dead end at the moment.
Many thanks

Serial number: RJ803F0624
Request: password and boot image removal
Problem: bios locked with password and annoying boot image

I can get a dump of the BIOS if only I could find it.
On other F110(G3, G2) threads I see that the dump size is around 8-9MB. The dump I got off of the winbond chip is ~1mb and another dump off of an MX chip is ~16MB.
Attached both just in case. Also a picture of the board itself.

by Friend33Hello,
I have an EliteBook x360 G3 where I had to replace the motherboard. Everything is working fine and there are no errors during boot. However, I have the issue that the serial number in the BIOS is incorrect. When I run the DMI tool under Windows, I get an error stating that I am not in Unlocked Mode and therefore cannot make any changes. I was able to change the Asset Tag directly in the BIOS. Now I am wondering, can I simply read the BIOS chip, change the serial number with a hex editor, and write it back, or what other options do I have? The old motherboard did not work at... - Loading...
