PR7 isn`t populated and as theres no voltage at PQ2 pin 2 there`s no flow between D/S S/D and no continuity

With the board powered and PQ2 active then there will be continuity, you just can`t check it with a meter, you know its there though as it has voltage on pins 1 and 3.

    Havn`t found my passport yet..

Please check again the readings for me, set the meter to Ohm reading at the lowest scale (200Ohm). I just get readings from the same as Andreasbest board (ZAM80 LA-A911P Rev1.0 (A00)) and the readings are follows:
    1. Unpowered board - no continuity (of course) between PL3 and PU1 pin3
    2. Powered board - between pin1 and 3 of PQ2 - 21 Ohms, and 51.5 Ohms between PL3 and PU1 pin3 (this is a plus ~30 Ohms which is the resistance of the PR9 itself), so everything is as expected.

      2. Powered board. No,its not the way to test resistance,it should be tested unpowered. The meter puts out a small ammount of current, and any other current from a live circuit will interfere with the readings and you can damage your meter with enough current.

I agree, but in thins case there is no other way, without power PQ2 is off. Another indirect way to see continuity here is to measure voltage on pin3 of PU1.

Yes it's true in general, but here we don't measure resistance to ground but resistance in the line, and second it's a low voltage signal line with very small current, powered by ALW low current source through a 2.2K resistor, so I don't see any problems here.

Resistance measurements are always done with power OFF. Basic electronics.

The SIO need to send the GPIO_PSID_SELECT in PU1 PIN6 correct?

I have the same problem on a dell but pin3 and pin 4 have 3.3v but pin6 0V...

It can be a SIO defect correct?

Attach the official power adapter. Measure the voltage to ground at PL3. Meter in dc volts scale of 20v or higher.

              What is the reading?

Remove pd5 and check if the laptop identify the charger (with an original Charger)
if it does replace pd5 (Common Problem)

Dell Inspiron 7567 LA-D993P odd charger issue
                  by Johndill
Hi, I have a Dell Inspiron 7567 LA-D993P that I've just got running.
There was corrosion around PU1503 which shorted PC1518 & blew PL1504. (Reference pictures attached)
I've replaced PC1518 & PL1504 & the laptop is now running however I now have another issue.

                  Here are the tested scenarios:

                  1. With the laptop running on battery, I plug in the 150W charger & the charger shuts off (no LED, protection mode) but the laptop remains running on battery.

                  2. With the laptop off, plug in charger (LED says on) & the front charging...

                  by exerion5000
Hello, I received this laptop with the following condition: When I turn it on, it shows the ALIENWARE light and the Alien button lights up, then it does not show an image and it restarts constantly, as the customer had already informed me that the battery was dead, I connected an original charger that I had it for testing, the machine turned on normally and I was able to enter Windows without problems, after a while of testing I noticed that it is very slow (like a Cyrix 425...), and after performing a CPU test the frequency is
below normal, as if it were operating in an extreme energy...

Dell Vostro 3400 battery does not charge beyond 55%

                  Hello,
I have a Dell Vostro 3400 battery does not charge beyond 55%

I tried another file... the battery charge exceeded 55%, but it entered manufacturing mode and it did not count from it.
                  - I rebuilt the basic BIOS and Clear Me, but without results
What if the same situation does not charge the battery more than 55%?
                  Can someone help me?

The original BIOS file is attached

Dell E6400 PT434 type Battery Charging Stuck at 1%. Battery Pinouts?
                  by Bowline
My question pertains to understanding the control circuity inside a Dell PT434 type battery used in Dell E6400, E6410 and other Dell notebooks?

Does anyone have a circuit diagram for the inside of a Dell PT434 battery and/or a description of how the control lines work to control this battery?

My reason for asking is I have a battery which I cannot get to charge beyond 1% in a Dell E6410 or E6400.
The LED bar graph charge indicator on the battery shows one LED lighted when the info button is pressed.
I have tried multiple different Dell power adapters. My Dell...
