    What is this part??

    hello all,

I have Toshiba tecra Z40-A1241 laptop, there is a picture on it's screen but with no light on the screen, I test the screen on another laptop and it works perfectly,
and test the video cable and it also works. As shown in below picture I want to know what this white part(it has a 322 number on it's surface)? fuse or something else? I can't find laptop schematics.

    please help me.

        If it's a crystal than you can't
but i think it s not a crystal...you have a picture but no backlight
with lvds cable connected, take all the measurements and post it here

if you have a schemayics post it

Unfortunately, I don't have schematics. On one of it's sides there is 19.0 volts and on the other side there is no volt.

no you can't, it won't work if you connect directly/jumper.
what is your board code ?

the part is marked as 322 and it cant be crystal. Let the part remain removed and power on the mb and check voltage on both pads of that part. Its likely to be a fuse but first check voltage reading.

i'm sorry for the wrong answer from, since i don't have schematic or boardview and i can't find it, i can't make sure what was that. I said it crystal cause i found on some board have crystal like that near lvds con and i don't read clearly your post that said it was marking part. Glad to hear you solved your problem
