    help identifying chip off LA-E801P

Hello, this chip is overheating when the power button is pressed. I do not have the schematic. It has a stylized H with letters A03 then FKH0072 underneath.

You must clean the surface of the chip so you can read the sculpture clearly.

Rub the surface of the chip with the help of thermal grease or cigarette ash, it will help read the mark.

It is very important to determine whether the mark shows the type of P-Channel / N-Channel or Dual-Channels mosfet.

the picture looks like a product of Excelliance MOS

      example: EMB20N03V

Thank you for your answers. On the board, it is marked as PQ302. I'm doing the thermal paste rub now, no smokers here, good tips.

Added new pic, rubbed white thermal paste, then a drop of alcohol. Website of excellencemos keeps timing out, can't get in.

My usual suppliers, digikey and mouser electronics, do not carry that manufacturer. Compatible replacement? in same package, EDFN5*6
Thank you RJ for the datasheet.

Found this one that is similar, listed as 30V Dual Asymmetric N-Channel MOSFET AON6994. It has Id of 50A and 82A in datasheet but listed as 19A and 26A. Original has Id of 15A on both. Is it Ok to use it? Is more amperage better or worse, please advice.

If it can handle more amps, that will be ok. Are you sure this is the problem with the over heating, or is there too much load that is causing the mosfet to overheat?

Re: help identifying chip off LA-E801P

chip displays 0.4 ohms in both directions when checking from D1 to S1, 42Kohms from D2(neg probe) to S2(pos probe) and 0L from S2(neg probe) to D2(pos probe) also there is 0.4 ohms between D1 and D2
Laptop went up to over 2 amps when pushing power button, had to disconnect right away, I burned my thumb when pressing chip. After it was removed, laptop goes to just over 500 mA, but fan wont start. It didn't start before removal either.
