Asus Zenbook UX302LA takes long to boot

    Hey there,

I have a strange problem with my Asus Zenbook.

    Short history:
I got this one for free from a friend, it didn't post at all but capslock was on all the time, and voltages were present.
So I flashed BIOS with my CH341A programmer and it worked again.

Since then it takes 10 seconds to post, I have tried many BIOS versions, but nothing changes.
Can anyone help me with the problem?

    Best Regards,
    Constantin from Germany

Is there any extra delay after the first thing is displayed?
      or
Does all the extra delays happen only before the first thing is displayed on the screen?

        Hello,

Clear ME? I think there is no Intel Management Engine installed?

The delay happens before anything on the screen is displayed, so it's not the post delay function you can activate in some BIOSes.

        Thanks

It's a (post-C2D) Intel platform, so it has Management Engine. Clean ME region should help. Post your dump in BIOS request subsection if you need help on this.

Okay thanks. Shall I backup the dump with programmer or can I use windows?
