    Dell Inspiron 3521 not (+3VS) and (+5VS)

    good evening
    I have a motherboard (la-9104p_r1.0)
How do I know the signal (SUSP) it works or not
    I do not find (+3VS) and (+5VS)
Thanks in advance for helping me

SUSP, I suppose (someone correct if I'm wrong) = SUSPend power signal at various power rails and functions in control during various power sequences. as of this board I think it needs SUSP# to be generated from +5VALW. The SUSP# is from kbc.

        thank you tibd

The 116 pin (KBC) was tested and there are (3.3) volts

Did u check för +3 and +5VALW presence at QZ 1 and 7, or check pin 4 and 5 of these mosfets. Also check voltage of B+.

Yes tibd (QZ1) and (QZ7) were found (+5VALW and +3.3VALW) and (B+_BIAS) are present (QZ3)
But there is no indication of the voltage on the pin4 to (QZ1) and (QZ7)

By checking on (QZ3) get a pin4 (16 volt) And it works perfectly.

tibd The Motherboard is just dead to a glowing LED lamp. No fan rotation or pull of the current on the screen of a power-equipped device

Since u have B+, what voltages are there at RZ4 and RZ13, What is SUSP voltage, stays stable or fluctuate.

Yes, there is a volt 19 volts but there is no outlet for the volt from the other end of the RZ4 and RZ13 0 volts ,, the SUSP voltage 3.3v in pin 116 for KBC

raajkumar Intensive (PC216) and (PC218) were examined on pins pu200 yes I found (19v) and (5v).
I doubt the (SUSP),,Because when I raise (QZ2BA) the motherboard passes the voltage through (RZ4) to the MOSFET QZ1

Re: Dell Inspiron 3521 not (+3VS) and (+5VS)

if we take QZ1 for example.
Need B+_bias through RZ4 to pin 4 (gate), this open the mosfet and pass voltage from pins (5,6,7,8) to pins (1,2,3), this way you get the +5VALW to get +5VS. This is the normal scenario.
The other normal thing is that the SUSP will activate QZ2 and shorts the B+_bias to ground, this way you get gate (pin4) of QZ1 low and close the mosfet cutting +5VS.

If the QZ4 is dead or QZ2 is defective and already shorting b+ to ground then u will be missing +5VS. Since you mentioned that lifting QZ2 you are getting QZ1 to work normally then your problem is in QZ2 which is shorted, that's why u r not getting any voltage readings beyond first pin of QZ4. Replace the QZ2 and report.

you might still have some other problems with this board beyond QZ2 but start with this then proceed.

You have replaced (QZ2) the same problem. It is a MOSFET(DUAL)
I noticed that lots of electronic pieces that hit their (SUSP#) signal do not work.

One thing here to make clear.
The +VALW will pass through to +VS at powering stages. At power press the SUSP# will then short SUSP to ground and thus +B_bias gets over to gates and open mosfets. At which stage S1-S5 r u measuring for +3-5VS. The problem might be somewhere else coz normally (if laptop is not running) the +VS voltages are not present.
