        try remove tcp 8127 then put jumper wire or inject 19v at drain you will see what will be hot, in mine ive got short cap nere power switch replace parts then ok. below sata port

                      Take off those 0ohm resistors near your red mark MOSFET and check short where it goes towards mobo or towards dcin

                            Got this board Im trying to diagnose. I have a short (dc jack "+" and "-" are short). Ive removed the dc jack to see if that was the issue. Ive removed a diode to see but same short. In red, Ive replace that IC but same issue. Are pointers or schematic?

                              Bon soir dear online techies, enthusiasts, modest helpers and whomever I might have forgotten!

                              Search gave me no hits so this is my first post.

                              My Acer 5 Nitro mainboard had a short circuit when I tried to plugin a USB device. Some smoke rose from the port and it became super hot a that point of entry/exit. Warranty was of about a month.
                              Since I am on a low budget I cannot afford to buy...

                              Hi everyone,

                              I am experiencing a "No Power" issue after swapping the HM470 chipset between two different motherboards. Here are the details of the boards and their original symptoms:
                              1. Acer (Board Code: FH51M):
                                • Original Symptom: Intermittent booting. Sometimes it works perfectly, but other times it powers on (all rails present) but fails to POST/boot.
                              2. MSI (Board Code: MS-16R51):
                                • Original Symptom: The dedicated Nvidia GeForce GPU is not detected/not functioning.

                              The Problem: I decided to swap the HM470 PCH from the Acer board to the MSI board, and vice versa....

                              Hi guys, I need some help with an Acer Nitro V15, model N23Q22. I’m currently stuck on this board.

                              I have a dead short to ground on Pad 2 of coil PL4001.

                              I already isolated the PL4001 area, and the short is definitely on the Pad 2 / load side of the coil.

                              I tried voltage injection directly into PL4001 Pad 2, but I cannot find anything heating up. Nothing gets noticeably warm on either the top or bottom side of the motherboard.

                              I have already checked the capacitors connected to the Pad 2 side of PL4001, including the ones shown in the BoardView,...

                              Hello,
                              ACER Nitro 5 AN515-55-774Z ((FH52M LA-J891P REV.1)
                              Intel Core i7-10750H
                              RTX 2060 6GB GDDR6
                              Turned off during normal operation and never turned on again.
                              After disassembling and connecting to the power supply PLW3 burned out.

                              Resistances on all chokes are within normal limits except PLW1 and PLW2 (about 0.5 ohms) - powering the video memory.
                              I am new to repair( Advise what to do next to find the short circuit and fix it.
                              Or if burned GPU then how to disconnect GPU and use without it.
                              If there is anything else that needs to be measured,...

                              Help me find the short circuit on this WORKING Nvidia GTX1650

                              Hi all,

                              Recently picked up this GTX1650 at a local flea market for a low price and wanted to use it on my secondary PC. I first tested the card and saw the fan spin for a split second and then nothing. Immediately I thought of a short circuit. Disassembled and found a shorted SMD capacitor, injected voltage into it (1V/4A) and two Mosfets got hot immediately (QN3103 & QN3107). Desoldered these Mosfets and the card turned back to life.

                              Bought replacements from Aliexpress and replaced them afterwards. Tried the card but still the saw the fan spin for a split second...
